German Chancellor Meets Biden To Talk Ukraine

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz made a visit to Joe Biden at the White House, on Friday, to talk next steps in the Russian War on Ukraine. Scholz did not invite the German or European Union’s traveling press, which led to a few snits on their part. The German chief wanted this to be a working visit, probably to argue about tanks, yet again. Biden and Scholz will talk scenarios. Scenarios are a fine thing for old men to discuss. It’s not their lives, families, or home country on the line. Thank you very much.

Let me be very clear, if the two leaders were both women, I would feel no different. What frosts me is that these people have no skin in the game. The world leaders and military officers are playing Risk with our money and, so far, Ukrainian lives. Yes, Kyiv was supposed to fall in days. We would never denigrate the bravery and courage of the Ukrainian soldiers. Scholz and Biden smile smugly while Ukraine dies:

Although the German Chancellor committed to spending $100 billion in Ukraine, supplying weapons of war has been a different story:

Germany’s decision to dig in on sending tanks will likely go down badly with its allies, both in the immediate and long-term.
“It’s like acid eroding through layer after layer of trust,” a senior NATO diplomat told CNN on Friday. The diplomat added that Germany’s hesitance could also have a lasting impact on the rest of Europe and potentially push other members of the alliance closer towards the US, even if Germany is reluctant to do so.
And the divisions in the alliance have only grown more public in recent days – earlier in the week, Poland’s prime minister described Germany as “the least proactive country out of the group, to put it mildly,” and suggested his country might send Leopards to Ukraine without Berlin’s approval.

Tanks seem to be the sticking point. Germany is asking Switzerland to sell some of its “mothballed” tanks for use in Ukraine. This seems like an easy ask, when was the last time Switzerland used tanks? Since their last war was 500 years ago (not including civil war), the answer is never.

Hopefully, the German Chancellor and Creepy Joe will talk straight about tanks before they talk “scenarios”. From the New York Times, on tanks:

So far, Mr. Scholz has remained adamant that every step Germany takes in providing military support to repel the Russian invasion is to be done in coordination with its allies — but most importantly with Washington.
That position came under heavy strain last month, when Washington and European allies heaped pressure on Germany to deliver Leopard tanks to Ukraine. The chancellor only agreed to the move when Washington also pledged to send some of its sophisticated Abrams tanks, over U.S. military objections that the vehicles would not be useful to Ukraine.
Germany has described the plan as a joint agreement between the nations. But a week before the chancellor’s visit, Jake Sullivan, Mr. Biden’s national security adviser, suggested in an interview with ABC News that the move was taken by the president to placate the Germans.

The Ukrainian soldiers can just sit tight while these morons play chicken and discuss scenarios:

Nils Schmid, the foreign policy spokesman in Parliament for Mr. Scholz’s center-left Social Democrats, dismissed the notion that talks would focus on an “end game.”

“Foreign policy is always about scenarios, and of course, they will pass through these different scenarios,” he said. “But the idea is to have a real working visit. It’s not a state visit. It’s really sitting together, putting all the cards on the table, weighing the options, sharing assessments and having a very free debate without being obliged to produce any immediate result on any of the files.”

I don’t run a foreign policy think tank, but these idiots saw Russia amassing troops and tanks on the Ukraine border for months before the war started. Didn’t they think maybe it might kinda be sorta a good idea to look at some like scenarios then?

Watch this video. Biden barely knows where he is and Scholz looks like he should be wearing a German Hogan’s Heroes costume. Would you trust these two with the lives of your children. I didn’t think so.

Pray for Ukraine and for all of us.

If our woke military ever has to fight on foreign soil (which I believe it isn’t designed to do anymore), all the enemy would have to do is drop propaganda leaflets with hateful symbols and bad words…….
