President Donald Trump called out Governor (wannabe President) Gavin Newsom for his range of disabilities, including dyslexia. While I would prefer that MY President didn’t call out anyone for dyslexia, Newsom is a difficult subject for any empathy. I am not going to focus on feeling empathy for him. I do wish Trump would be more judicious, but that’s not going to happen.

I don’t think Gavin Newsom has a chance of being President. He is smug, condescending, racist and his veneers are way too white. Yeesh. Turn those things to low.

Last night, The Hill had the write-up regarding Trump’s comments about Newsom, “Trump says Newsom’s dyslexia should prevent him from being president”:

President Trump suggested Monday that California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) dyslexia should prevent the governor, who’s widely seen as a 2028 candidate, from being president.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office while talking about voter identification in California, he described Newsom as a “low-IQ person.”

“Gavin ‘Newscum’ has admitted that he is a — that he has learning disabilities,” Trump said, using his derisive nickname for the California Democrat. “Honestly, I’m all for people with learning disabilities, but not for my president. I don’t want — I think a president should not have learning disabilities, OK?”

Trump took a separate jab at Newsom, appearing to reference remarks Newsom made last month during an event for his memoir in which he sought to relate himself to others, telling Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens (D) at one point, “I’m just trying to impress upon you, I’m like you. I’m no better than you. You know, I’m a 960 SAT guy.”

“And I know it’s highly controversial to say such a horrible thing. The president of the United States, Gavin Newscum, admitted that he has learning disabilities, dyslexia,” Trump continued. “Everything about him is dumb.”

Oof! Many people with dyslexia are above average, but Gavin Newsom is dumber than a box of rocks and thinks he is smart. Actually, rocks have a higher IQ.

Actually, the state transcriptionist at The Hill got this kind of wrong. Trump said it was “dyslexia, can’t read speeches and low SATs”:

This wasn’t the first time these two have tussled over the dyslexia low SAT controversy. From the Huffington Post four days ago:

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) ripped President Donald Trump after he accused him of being racist and attacked him multiple times for being open about struggling with dyslexia.

On Wednesday, the president took a lengthy swipe at the governor in a Truth Social post after a clip of Newsom talking about his own low SAT scores during his book tour stop in Atlanta resurfaced online.

“Gavin Newscum’s interview weeks ago was, perhaps, the most self destructive interview I’ve ever seen,” Trump began. “In one fell swoop, he took himself out of even being considered as the Presidential Nominee of the Crazy (as proven at the State of the Union Address) Democrats.”

“He said, in a speech, he was dumb, had low Boards, can’t read, has dyslexia, and has a mental disorder — A Cognitive Mess! On top of that, Black People are angry because he is obviously a racist. While we all want to be politically correct, having a mental disorder is not a positive campaign event.”

Contrary to the president’s claims that dyslexia is a “mental disorder,” the neurodevelopmental condition is categorized as a “brain-based learning disorder that causes difficulties with reading and processing written language,” according to the American Brain Foundation. Dyslexia is also common, affecting 20% of the population, according to the Yale Center for Dyslexia and Creativity.

We know that Gavin was only trying to make himself more relatable to Black folk. Hot sauce worked for Hillary. That was less insulting and racist. More from Huff Post:

Newsom quickly fired back at Trump in an X post on Wednesday.

“I spoke about my dyslexia. I know that’s hard for a brain-dead moron who bombs children and protects pedophiles to understand,” he wrote.

Oh, so Gavin Newsom has dyslexia can’t read and is speed reading a book. VDH is so good at this. I guess it’s too much to ask of Trump to be a surgeon in addition to a great builder and President.
