This morning, Deanna wrote about the twisty winding spin that Attorney General Loretta Lynch attempted concerning the Orlando terrorist. Basically Lynch admitted that the Administration will refuse to admit he was a terrorist who adhered to ISIS, and in fact will redact all pledges from the 911 calls he made during the attack. Notably during her multiple interviews, there is one word she used repeatedly to describe the terrorist….Killer.

Alrighty then! So the new narrative from the administration is that we aren’t even dealing with the JV ISIS team… we are dealing with average everyday “Joe Killers.” Got it. Never mind the various lectures from the current President and others.

Well, a short while ago, the official redacted AND EDITED transcript of the 911 calls was released.

To give you an idea of how clunky, awkward, and stupid the redactions are – check this out.

“In the name of God the Merciful, the beneficial [in Arabic],” Mateen told the 911 operator early on the morning, according to the FBI.

“Praise be to God, and prayers as well as peace be upon the prophet of God [in Arabic],” he added. “I let you know, I’m in Orlando and I did the shootings.”

You can the partial transcript in full here. Here’s the deal folks…there is no reason for this transcript to have been redacted!

Oh wait, according to the Justice Department and FBI its about “FEELINGS.”

Authorities defended the decision, however, saying it was meant to avoid lending credence to terrorist leaders.
“We’re not going to propagate their rhetoric, their violent rhetoric,” FBI Special Agent Ron Hopper said.
He also said the decision not to release audio, or details of victims’ calls to 911, was to avoid further traumatizing those who were inside the club.

Look, our readers know as well as I do, those who were in the club are A. already traumatized, and B. know darn well that the Orlando shooter was indeed a terrorist.

Furthermore, he identified himself as an Islamic soldier.

I dunno about you, but the dots are darned easy to connect w/or without the stupid redactions. And yes, the redactions are definitely, as Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) noted, preposterous! 

“We know the shooter was a radical Islamist extremist inspired by ISIS. We also know he intentionally targeted the LGBT community,” Ryan said in a statement Monday.
“The administration should release the full, unredacted transcript so the public is clear-eyed about who did this, and why.”

Neither is Florida Governor Rick Scott.

All in all, what this boils down to is an Administration that desperately wants us to ignore the big fat terrorist elephant in the room. So much so that, well… this sums it up perfectly!

Omitting the words terrorist, ISIS, changing Allah to read God, and the terrorist’s pledge of allegiance from the Orlando terrorist 911 calls accomplishes one thing and one thing only…providing more incentive for further terrorist acts because of this Administration’s ostrich in sand willful blindness.

What we are dealing with is evil, it IS radical Islam, it is ISIS. All the tap dancing and transcript redactions in the world won’t change that fact.

UPDATE: Just as this post was publishing, the Justice Department backtracked. They have now released the original transcript of the 911 call. Sure enough… he’s a terrorist and follows ISIS.

OM: My name is I pledge of allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi of the Islamic State.

Their excuse for doing so is very whiny… Supposedly the release with the redactions meant transparency or something. Evidently the kerfuffle over the redactions was an “unnecessary distraction” that is hindering the investigation of a heinous crime. Even now they are trying to downgrade a terrorist attack and instead call it a crime. Not only that, but

Well, no matter. The Justice Department once again has egg on its face. But hey, at least we now know that the terrorist wasn’t pledging allegiance to Mickey Mouse, the NRA, or the Flag. That’s a positive right?
