America tuned into Saturday Night Live last night to see Donald Trump perform as host.

It wasn’t the first time he had appeared on the show — in 2004 he also acted as host.

And, of course, he promised it would be “the best,” and the ratings would be — all together now — “Huuuuge!”

Something else was ‘huuuuge’ — and loud — outside Rockefeller Center where the show is performed, and that was the protest by Latinos angry at Trump’s presence on the program.

There was a small number of pro-Trump protestors as well.

One of the organizers of the protest, DeportRacism.com, pledged $5000 to “anyone on the set of the show or in the studio audience who yells out or gets on camera during the live TV broadcast clearly heard in the TV broadcast saying “Deport Racism” or “Trump is a Racist.”

And it happened. At the end of the opening monologue with Trump, actor Larry David, who had portrayed Bernie Sanders in the opening skit, yelled out, “Trump is a racist!”

Some urged Larry David to donate the money to a charity of Trump’s choice.

The rest of the program was largely forgettable, but included oddities like Trump singing and dancing (yes, he went there). . .

It will be interesting to see if Trump’s ratings take an upturn again after his Saturday Night Live appearance. His supporters will be talking about it for days. Those who don’t support Trump will shrug it off with a ‘meh.’

Now, will DeportRacism.com fork over the promised $5K to Larry David, and will David give it to a charity of Trump’s choice? Mediate is reporting that DeportRacism still plans to honor their pledge.

If Larry David gives the money to a charity of Donald Trump’s choice, the irony would be delicious. Or, in this case, delicioso.
