Democrats are gathering their troops with big plans to stop the presidential transitioning project should Trump retake the White House.
Project 2025 is a suggested transition plan to implement on day one of a Republican win of the Presidency. It is put together by several conservative groups.
Also, Trump’s campaign says these outside groups do not speak for the President. However, Project 2025 has gathered former Trump aides into this transitioning organization.
Synopsis of Project 2025:
The actions of liberal politicians in Washington have created a desperate need and unique opportunity for conservatives to start undoing the damage the Left has wrought and build a better country for all Americans in 2025.
It is not enough for conservatives to win elections. If we are going to rescue the country from the grip of the radical Left, we need both a governing agenda and the right people in place, ready to carry this agenda out on day one of the next conservative administration.
This is the goal of the 2025 Presidential Transition Project. The project will build on four pillars that will, collectively, pave the way for an effective conservative administration: a policy agenda, personnel, training, and a 180-day playbook. – Project 2025
And the Democrats are having none of it, of course. Never mind unity or working together. Politics nowadays seem to be nothing but divide, hate, and attack. Oh, and mislead and lie to the people.
Let us also remember the first 100 days of Joe Biden’s Presidency:
Over his first 100 days, Biden signed 42 executive orders, more than any of his predecessors since Harry Truman. Many of these executive orders were reversals to Donald Trump’s policies. – Wikipedia
It’s not just the Democrats. It’s also so-called moderate Republicans and Never Trumpers like The Lincoln Project coming out against this Project 2025.
The difference between Project 2025 and Trump’s usual authoritarian ravings is that Project 2025 isn’t an empty threat, it’s a concrete plan that will roll back your rights and put the government in your life. We’ve been warned. pic.twitter.com/lYfVnKEMuq

However, one Democrat, in particular, is creating a group to stop Project 2025. California representative Jared Huffman seems to be running scared.
Democratic Rep. Jared Huffman of California is unveiling The Stop Project 2025 Task Force on Tuesday, the latest sign that congressional Democrats and outside groups are treating Trump’s campaign seriously in the expected rematch against Democratic President Joe Biden this fall.
[…]The Democratic-led task force comes as groups on and off Capitol Hill are increasingly alarmed over Project 2025, a sweeping blueprint from the conservative Heritage Foundation that is preparing to quickly help staff a new GOP administration with plans for dismantling aspects of the federal government and installing loyalists for a second Trump term.

Of course, Huffman wouldn’t be a good Democrat if he didn’t use the term Christian nationalist when describing Trump and MAGA.
As a founder of the Freethought Caucus on Capitol Hill, Huffman said he has particularly been alarmed about the rise of Christian nationalism within GOP ranks and efforts to push more conservative theology into government.
“We were able to beat back some of the worst of this Christian nationalist agenda, this authoritarian agenda, in the first Trump presidency, because they didn’t really know what they were doing,” Huffman said. “The fact that they have been putting all of this forethought and research and planning into a second Trump presidency means we’ll be dealing with a much more formidable foe, if it comes to that this time around.” – AP News
Those dirty Christians trying to save babies, protect our border, and other nationalistic stuff.
Joe Biden’s administration indeed called up the influencer cavalry on Project 2025 because YouTube is full of young people talking smack about it.
The Heritage Foundation seems to be heavily involved in Project 2025. Here is the director of Project 2025, Paul Dans, introducing the transition plan at a Heritage Foundation leadership summit posted on YouTube a year ago.
If you Google Project 2025, you’ll find all the gloom and doom articles about it. Everyone is calling it authoritarian, fascism at work, and all of your rights will be stripped away. Some are even calling it dystopian. If you believe Google, it would appear that Project 2025 would allow Donald Trump to be the supreme leader, ignoring the three branches of government.
Here is the beginning of a HuffPost piece by Jennifer Bendery, in which she explains what will happen if Project 2025 is implemented.
Deporting 11 million people. Banning abortion pills nationwide. Deploying U.S. troops against American citizens.
This is a sampling of Donald Trump’s plans for a second presidential term. They’re not strictly his plans; the far-right Heritage Foundation provided him with a 920-page “Project 2025” blueprint that he intends to follow. It is full of conservative policy proposals put together by more than 400 people and is ultimately aimed at replacing federal civil servants with people who will support Trump’s agenda. – HuffPost
OMG! 400 Joe Biden people will be replaced with Trump people! The horror.
I’m down with deporting all the illegals here in America. It won’t happen, but I am down with it. And deploying U.S. troops against American citizens? It appears Ms Jennifer has overdosed on the Kool-Aid.
Not only does she think that she will no longer have access to abortion pills, but she apparently knows for a fact that Trump intends to follow this Project 2025 plan. She states it as a matter of fact in the article.
I guess only time will tell.
