Ever since the Hur report came out, media and politicians have been saying the quiet part out loud. Joe Biden is OLD. What to do? How about a Biden reset?

Yes, let’s plug Joe in and reboot his system. When will this great reset be unveiled? 

Biden officials see next month’s State of the Union address as a big, public reset moment — a chance to overcome or at least neutralize concerns about President Biden’s age and vitality.

Why it matters: Many top Democrats are convinced that if the election were today, Biden would lose a rematch with former President Trump. Biden’s address on March 7 is his biggest chance to shift public perceptions.

Just reading those two paragraphs tells me that there is major scrambling behind the scenes. Especially when there have been multiple media reports out in the last 10 days admitting that well, ‘Yes, Joe is old and it’s a very big problem.’ 

Joe has already been polling in the low numbers, and the information concerning Joe’s coherence and memory issues has not helped. Joe’s numbers now could only be classified as…dismal. Just look at Five Thirty Eight’s tracking of Joe’s approval and disapproval ratings. He’s at 55% DISAPPROVAL right now after collating the results from five different polls. Scroll down and you’ll see that Joe’s disapproval ratings compared to previous presidents going back to Harry Truman has Biden essentially dead last. That’s not a good look. 

No wonder there’s a mad scramble behind the scenes to reboot Joe. Especially since it seems Kamala has been doing some maneuvering of her own. 

More than two dozen sources tell CNN that Harris has been gathering information to help her penetrate what she sometimes refers to as the “bubble” of Biden campaign thinking, telling people she’s aiming to use that intelligence to push for changes in strategy and tactics that she hopes will put the ticket in better shape to win.

Multiple leading Democrats, anxious about a campaign they fear might be stumbling past a point of no return, say their conversations with Harris have been a surprising and welcome change, after months of feeling sloughed off by the White House and Biden campaign headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware.

Given Kamala’s epic failure for her own Presidential campaign, her total unwillingness to handle any task given her, and her word salad incoherence, one has to wonder if she truly has anything to offer in regards to campaign strategy. That said, these meetings she’s having are sending up red flags in the White House and across the ranks. 

The desperation to get everyone to reset their thinking while rebooting Joe has led to certain advisors insisting that Joe be labeled GREAT! 

Stuart Stevens, an adviser for the Lincoln Project, recently claimed Democrats need to start calling President Biden a “great president,” and not just a “better choice” than former President Trump.

“A plea to my Democratic friends: It’s time to start calling Joe Biden a great president. Not a good one. Not a better choice than Donald Trump. Joe Biden is a historically great president. Say it with passion backed by the conviction that it’s true,” he wrote in an op-ed for the New Republic.

Stevens called on Democrats to frame the election as more than a choice between a “normal, stable president” and an “erratic thug.”

Keep in mind, everyone at the Lincoln Project is a rabid and I mean RABID Never Trumper, with their own very icky track records.

But again, this insistence that Joe is great, nimble and very with it every hour of the day completely reeks of desperation within the ranks. 

At a session around Harris’ dining table last Saturday with six Democratic governors and their chiefs of staff, according to multiple people who were there or were told soon after, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer slammed the way the president and the campaign have been talking about abortion rights. Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker hammered Biden’s response to the migrant crisis and insisted that they need to quickly get much more aggressive about attacking Republicans and Trump for tanking the bipartisan immigration bill. Maryland Gov. Wes Moore complained that the campaign has been failing to get through to voters under 35 years old.

They met with KAMALA, not Joe. Is it any wonder that the Biden campaign and White House are now scrambling?

It’s a fair bet that Jill is pissed they said the quiet part loudly in the Hur report. The above email is rather pathetic. However, it also doesn’t help when the Axios report also includes these phrases:

Biden’s SOTU address played well last year — he seemed agile and riffed about the GOP and Social Security. Officials close to him, needing a repeat triumph, will spend hours on everything from the text to his physical preparation to exploit the prime-time moment. {Emphasis added}

They want to show Biden as “strong of presence and strong of voice.” The phraseology here is so very interesting. How one can reset Joe so he doesn’t do the whisper, shout, growl thing during his speeches and statements is beyond me.

How many reboots will it take to reset Joe in order to game win the 2024 Election. Conversely, how many resets will they do before the Democrats kick Joe and Jill to the curb?
