DEI Is DOA In Trump Administration And Media Begins Hysterics

Again, Donald Trump is not waiting for a study, or a poll, or anything. He’s doing what he told the voters he would do. Last night, a memo went out from the Office of Personnel and Management that all DEI offices are being shut down – by 5 pm Eastern TONIGHT.

For those of you keeping track of the timeline, that gave these federal bureaucracies 24 hours to close up shop and put everyone on leave.

Acting Director of the Office of Personnel Management Charles Ezell sent a memo to heads and acting heads of departments and agencies on Tuesday evening directing them that by no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, they are to:

– Send an agency-wide notice to employees informing them of the closure and asking employees if they know of any efforts to disguise these programs by using coded or imprecise language

– Send a notification to all employees of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) offices that they are being placed on paid administrative leave effective immediately as the agency takes steps to close/end all DEIA initiatives, offices and programs.

– Take down all outward facing media (websites, social media accounts, etc.) of DEIA offices

– Withdraw any final or pending documents, directives, orders, materials and equity plans issued by the agency in response to the now-repealed Executive Order 14035, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility in the Federal Workforce (June 25, 2021)

– Cancel any DEIA-related trainings and terminate any DEIA-related contractors

And not only is everything being shut down and employees put on leave, the OPM then wants a full accounting of what was going on.

The memo also directed the heads of agencies and departments that by noon Thursday, Jan. 23, they must share with OPM:

– A complete list of DEIA offices and any employees who were in those offices as of Nov. 5, 2024

– A complete list of all DEIA-related agency contracts as of Nov. 5, 2024

– Any agency plans to fully comply with the above executive orders and this memorandum

By Friday at 5 p.m., agency heads must submit to OPM:

– A written plan for executing a reduction-in-force action regarding the employees who work in a DEIA office

– A list of all contract descriptions or personnel position descriptions that were changed since Nov. 5, 2024, to obscure their connection to DEIA programs

Considering the glacial speed with which Washington usually works, these executive orders are hitting the Deep State with the force of a category 5 hurricane. Trump means business, and when he said he was ending DEI at the federal level, he meant it.

The leftist media decided to wet themselves. After all, their entire business model is build around worshiping at the altar of DEI. It’s how truly execrable people like Joy Reid still have a job. Speaking of Joy Reid, she is just upended. What will happen to all the men who want to go to a women’s prison because they believe that they are women??? THE HORROR.

But even Joy Reid sounded slightly more sane than John Harwood, who actually posted on X, “when does he bring back segregated water fountains?”

Wow. It’s so encouraging to know that the journalism caste has learned absolutely NOTHING in eight years. This hysteria can’t possibly backfire on them at all!

Our new Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, also sent out a message to the State Department once he was sworn in. The message? DEI is over, and American interests come first.

The lengthy cable was sent shortly after Rubio arrived at his new post in Foggy Bottom and was obtained exclusively by RealClearPolitics. It signals a fundamental shift in foreign policy and a realignment of all diplomatic efforts toward putting American needs first.

Toward this end, President Trump’s new diplomat promised to focus on mass migration, terminate DEI policies within the department, end the “censorship of the American people,” and pursue “energy dominance.”

“Every dollar we spend, every program we fund, and every policy we pursue must be justified with the answer to three simple questions,” Rubio wrote. The questions: Does the action make America safer, stronger, and more prosperous?

To answer those questions in the affirmative and to realign the department with the mission of the new president, Rubio warned the diplomatic corps that the department will be transformed “into one that is innovative and nimble.” Said the new diplomat, “Certain priorities will be replaced, certain issues deemphasized, and some practices we will cease altogether.”

Rubio also announced new personnel policies in line with Trump’s executive order ending so-called diversity, equity, and inclusion hiring practices. His predecessor, former Secretary of State Antony Blinken, had emphasized those ideals, requiring department officials to “advance” DEI as a prerequisite for promotion and implement an “equity action plan.” The Biden administration often emphasized that equity must be “at the center.”

Under Rubio, the byword will, instead, be equality. He warned the department will end all evaluation and promotion practices other than those based on “performance and merit,” adding that “strict meritocracy is essential to securing our nation’s future.”

Rubio previously argued while in the Senate that an emphasis on progressive policies at the department had undermined American influence abroad. In a 2023 report co-authored with Florida Rep. Brian Mast, the then-senator highlighted how Biden’s ambassador to France, in line with Blinken’s DEI policies, had “removed paintings of American Founding-era figures and replaced them with pictures of a transgender activist, a violent protester, socialist leaders, and communists in the name of diversity.”

He now has authority over all such posts and practices, and he warned that any counterproductive activities “must, and will, end.” Instead, the new secretary told a diplomatic corps that is still getting to know him that the new administration will return to what he called “the basics of diplomacy.”

To that end, reports are emerging that Rubio is firing senior diplomats. I’m sure the media will take that news calmly and with a mature perspective. HA HA HA HA HA.

There is a new sheriff in town, and his name is Donald Trump. He means business, and that means the status quo in Washington DC is being upset. As we can already see, the journalists are trying to cling to every teeny little shred of “resistance” they can find, even if it is some weirdo “bishop” who is looking for her 15 minutes of fame. The “golden age of America” that is beginning now is a return to the principles of equality, not “equity.” And the freer the bureaucracy is from such asinine bean counting and racist tendencies that are promoted by DEI programming, so much the better for all of us.

“It’s particularly evil to… I always think of prisoners, people who are incarcerated who have transitioned… you’re going to take, you know, trans women and put them in male prisons. What do we think is going to happen to them there?”

I would like to understand how getting rid of DEI is going to accomplish what she’s talking about. And then I would like to know why I should care that men are being sent back into male prisons.
