The deterioration, implosion, and destruction of all that is great about this Republic, this America continues. As I write this, five police officers in Dallas are dead after being targeted and shot while monitoring a #BlackLivesMatter protest. All because of continued rushes to judgement regarding Alton Sterling and Philando Castile along with a horrendous disdain for our law enforcement manifested and encouraged by many including our President. Yes, our President.

Once again he couldn’t resist. Soon after touching down in Poland he embarked on a lecture of how bad things are in the United States and overtly implied that our men and women in law enforcement are to blame. Gee thanks dude. You stand in Poland – one of the places where men and women fought for their lives, their freedom and so many died at the hands of Hitler, one of the most evil tyrants the world has ever seen and basically throw your OWN country under the bus yet again.

Obama? You wanted to send a signal right? A signal about how things need to change? Yeah, you sent quite a signal. The events of yesterday and last night certainly showed us. Streets and highways in major cities were shut down once again by idiot protestors.

In Dallas one of the key organizers of the asinine #BlackLivesMatter protest admitted he wanted more than just chants and marches, he wanted anger and violence.

Dallas protest organizer @revjeffhood told Dallas Morning News he wanted to "create a space for anger and rage" against police.

Well he certainly got what he wished for didn’t he?? Where did you think it would end? Certainly not in linking hands and singing “We Are The World.” Nope, instead calls for death, destruction, hatred for cops led to violence on an unimaginable scale.

Two snipers shot and killed four Dallas police officers and a DART officer Thursday night during a protest downtown.
Seven other officers and two civilians were wounded in a coordinated attack during the demonstration against recent shootings of black men by police in Louisiana and Minnesota.

It has been a devastating night. We are sad to report a fifth officer has died.

Blatant disrespect towards what is right and wrong, disrespect and anger shown verbally and physically towards those who are in positions of authority and calls for violence has somehow become the thing to do. Guess what folks. It. Is. WRONG.

Fact is, Alton Sterling was a convicted felon AND a registered sex offender. Fact is, Sterling, a convicted felon and registered sex offender managed to buy himself a gun that BY LAW he is not allowed to have. I absolutely do not blame those police officers one bit for being on edge and on point as they responded to the call of him harassing people with his gun.

Don’t tell me that the guy was a gentle giant. Don’t tell me that its a similar case to Ferguson. Don’t tell me that its people of certain colors being targeted. Its not that and his 46 page rap sheet vividly shows how “gentle” of a giant he really wasn’t.

Reality check people. If you are going to disrespect those in authority. If you push and shove against authority just because you think you can. If you sneer and jibe at those who you work with and for, or if you demand perks that you haven’t worked for and all is refused, if you advocate violence…you have only yourselves to blame for what happens next.

Five police officers are dead, seven others are fighting for their lives, two civilians were injured in the sniper attack, and families are in mourning and pain. Why? Because we’ve all given a pass to the aggression, defiance, anger and blatant disrespect that too many have shown. This needs to Stop. NOW.

Our country is breaking into pieces…reflecting our poor leadership and cultural junk age. The calls for violence need to stop. The hatred and disrespect towards anyone in authority needs to stop. The actions of those snipers, the sneering rhetoric, and the deliberate targeting of our men and women in law enforcement reflect poorly upon us all.

Our prayers are with Dallas Police Department and most especially with the families and friends of the officers who gave their lives last night.
