The key to Democrat legislation, folks. Shove crap bills through Congress without bothering to read them, and then blame Boosh and the Rethuglicans when it doesn’t work. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Quote of the day from Chris Dodd:
“It’s a great moment. I’m proud to have been here,” said a teary-eyed Sen. Christopher J. Dodd (D-Conn.), who as chairman of the Senate Banking Committee led the effort in the Senate. “No one will know until this is actually in place how it works. But we believe we’ve done something that has been needed for a long time. It took a crisis to bring us to the point where we could actually get this job done.”
Makes you a little sick to your stomach, doesn’t it?
More on the bill over at The Corner, and how it’s really only a compromise between Democrats to make financial regulations even more restricting, oppressive, complicated, and confusing.
It’s been such a smashing success before. Why change a winning strategy?
“We have to pass the bill so you can see what’s in it!” all over again.
I hope you’ve got a cache of the article with that quote, because the WaPo has scrubbed the part about “pass it so you can see what’s in it.”
This dirtbag needs to go through a trap door with a rope around his neck. That would be a partial solution to the problem. I say this without any reservations at all. The Old Retired Petty Officer does not do that anymore. And especially since I managed to win a fight against cancer last year. I should be afraid of a useless shitstain like doddering dodd? Yeah. Right.
Done more in a single day for the Republic than this piece of shit has ever done in his entire life. I have the paper to back that up.
To you Cassy, I apologize for the salty language. May the Almighty keep your Matt safe.
Cassy, and let’s not forget that Dodd managed to divert more than $50 MILLION dollars to a Casino in his home state that earned over a BILLION dollars last year.
Sigh.
