After an extensive search and more than 11 thousand tips, the person suspected of assassinating Charlie Kirk was identified and arrested early this morning.
The FBI had given a press conference yesterday evening in which they showed a video of the shooter climbing down from the roof of the building and heading towards the woods. They asked for the public’s assistance in identifying who that person of interest was.
President Trump announced early Friday that a suspect in Charlie Kirk’s assassination was turned in by his father — with the suspect identified as Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old Utah student who was “full of hate” and wrote “Hey fascist! Catch!” on a bullet.
“I think, with a high degree of certainty, we have him,” Trump told “Fox & Friends” during a live interview at the cable giant’s Manhattan studio, saying he heard just minutes before his 8 a.m. interview.
And then it was confirmed at this morning’s press conference held by Utah Governor Spencer Cox along with FBI Director Kash Patel and members of the Utah law enforcement.
Tyler Robinson who had received a scholarship to Utah Valley University, yet only attended one semester, had evidently been radicalized online. According to reports, he hated what Charlie Kirk stood for and for what he believed. It was his family who turned him in.
Utah resident Tyler Robinson, 22, was turned in to law enforcement by a family friend after images of the suspected shooter were circulated by authorities, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox (R) announced at a Friday morning news conference. Robinson allegedly confessed to the shooting of Kirk to a family member, who told a family friend, who in turn reached out to authorities, Cox added.
During their investigation, authorities recovered a bolt-action hunting rifle — a Mauser M98 — with a scope, Cox said. Several spent and unfired bullet casings found on the scene were inscribed with phrases like “notices bulges,” “hey fascist!” “catch!” “bella ciao” and one with homophobic phrasing, according to Cox.
I have to wonder what it took for Robinson’s father to turn him in. Whether they agreed with, or even knew about Charlie Kirk or not, it’s hard to imagine the horror they must be feeling and then taking the step to turn their son in.
The parents of Charlie Kirk’s suspected assassin Tyler Robinson are a law enforcement veteran and a care worker.
His father is a a 27-year veteran of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, sources told Daily Mail.
The father then contacted authorities and secured his son before he could be taken into custody.
His mother, Amber Robinson, works for Intermountain Support Coordination Services, a company contracted by the state of Utah to help disabled people receive care.
Robinson faces multiple state charges and the Governor has indicated he wants to pursue the death penalty.
The suspect arrested in Charlie Kirk’s shooting is expected to be charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury and obstruction of justice, according to a probable cause affidavit.
The offenses are all state charges.
Gov. Spencer Cox said that under Utah law, they have three days to file charging documents. He said that it should come “early next week.”
Turning Point USA issued the following statement after Robinson’s arrest:
Turning Point USA, the young conservative organization Charlie Kirk founded, was thankful to hear a suspect in Kirk’s shooting was arrested, group spokesperson Andrew Kolvet said.
“Nothing is ever going to make this better,” he told The Washington Post. “But I’m so glad they got him. And I know that [FBI Director] Kash [Patel] and [FBI Deputy Director] Dan [Bongino] and the entire FBI and their local partners literally didn’t sleep. They told me that. They told me they were not going to stop until they got him. And they were men of their words. And I thank them for that.”
Tyler Bowyer, of Turning Point Action, told The Post that Utah Gov. Spencer Cox and his office had been in constant communication with him. Bowyer said he was appreciative of law enforcement’s hard work.
For years now, Charlie Kirk and far too many other conservatives, along with President Trump have been labeled as fascists, informed they were Hitler reincarnated, and told that any word they utter is violence.
Charlie Kirk’s assassin Tyler Robinson, 22, killed him because he hated his opinions and thought he was a fascist. Yet ironically, HE was the fascist, killing someone to silence their opposing views.

The woke left love to say ‘speech is violent.’
It’s not – violence is. pic.twitter.com/70CWowT465
Agreed. The liberal left has spent years not only screaming at those who say things they dislike, they’ve repeatedly defined speech AND people they disagree with as hate speech and violence.
Tyler Robinson didn’t like what Charlie Kirk had to say. But instead of choosing to step into the arena of debate using words and ideas, he chose actual violence by shooting Charlie. And for that he will face the consequences of the law.

He looks like Beto O’Rourke.
What are the chances that the ever-screaming progressive leftist/Democrats try to paint the alleged killer as a right winger and/or mentally ill? Anything to avoid their ‘brand’ being tainted.
Lmao, and to the surprise of no one, a right-winger. so MAGA is now not extreme enough for it’s own fringes…
