In a flurry of bills over the past couple of years, California Democrats, led by the State Senator Scott Wiener (Pervert), have moved to curtail parental rights based on Transgenderism. The two latest ones are almost beyond belief.

Gender ideologues in California let the mask slip, or perhaps just tossed it away: A new bill, AB 957, directs family court judges to award custody based in part on “a parent’s affirmation of a child’s gender identity,” which the bill defines as intrinsic to the “health, safety and welfare of the child.”

The three other factors a judge must consider in custody disputes: A parent’s “history of abuse,” presence in a child’s life, and habitual use of illegal drugs. Leaving little doubt what the state thinks of parents who do not “affirm” a child’s gender journey, the statute places their conduct in line with physical abuse, neglect, and depravity.

As usual, the anti-family supporters of the bill engage in the usual don’t believe your lyin’ eyes schtick by sniffing that gender affirmation is only one factor. However, the bill makes it clear that the Leftists in state legislature have decided that so-called gender affirmation is such a great thing that the parent unwilling to hand over their 12-year-old for medical experimentation, mutilation and sterilization is the one that should lose custody.

As Abigail Shrier (who we have previously covered) writes, family courts have broad judicial discretion. Show me the parent who is going to test the boundaries of what denying “affirmation” looks like — does it stop at pronouns? A different name? Blockers? Amputation of breasts? — in a contested custody case where annoying the judge can have one cut out of their child’s life completely.

And we can’t just target parents during custody disputes because, heavens, there are intact families who may never find themselves in custody disputes. Pervert Wiener is on the case for that, too.

The Senate Judiciary Committee approved Assembly Bill 665 on a party-line vote. The bill would allow poor children as young as age 12 to check into state-run youth shelters on the unconditional say-so of a therapist or counselor. (snip)

The bill’s advance is the latest victory in a campaign by California Democrats to roll back parental rights, often in the name of allowing minors to choose their own gender. Other legislation making its way through the legislature would punish parents and foster parents who do not “affirm” children’s transgender identity.

We’ve seen before that psychology has been thoroughly captured by the Transgenderism cult. Therapists are either enthusiastic affirmers or they are driven from practice.

Yet Wiener does his handwaverium that any objection to this wonderful, liberating, why-won’t-you-think-of-the-children legislation is just part of the “right-wing outrage machine”.

Sure, dude. I’d paraphrase the Aristotlian quote about how many swallows does it take to make a summer, but the author of CA’s pro-pederasty bill might feelz I’m making a homophobic joke.

Wiener already got his pro-child-trafficking law signed by Governor Newscum last October. He’s been a busy boy ever since, with his eyes firmly affixed on children. And not just in California.
