brown’s win and what it means for conservatives

brown’s win and what it means for conservatives

a ‘wicked political pivot’ does comes this way. make no mistake. the win in massachusetts, and virginia and new jersey before that, were wins for conservative principles. conservatism isn’t a ‘regional party’ and conservatives are not destined to wander in the wilderness for a generation like many said after the obama win in ’08. and while we’re on it, it’s a myth that conservatives can’t attract moderates or must cross the aisle – watering down our principles – if we want to win.

here’s the deal: ‘going along to get along’ is OUT. compromise? OUT. it is patently clear to ‘We the People’ that the entire democrat agenda is willfully destructive and does not have our best interests in mind. i do NOT want republicans in congress ‘taking a seat at their table’ with the win in this election. i expect republicans to fight to the bitter end the policies put forth by this group of globalists and big goverment liberals.

the elected left’s arrogance, condescension, and thuggish behavior in governance of this country has pushed the american voter to the right in a big way. and when barney frank is saying it’s time to go back to the drawing board on obamacare, you know the dems are seriously worried.

whether the lefties like it or not, america really is a center-right country. their massively-funded, utterly corrupted democrat machine – bloated by our tax dollars, radical billionaire money and jack-booted union support – cannot buy elections, not even ted kennedy’s seat.

last night, sarah palin said on fox news,

“We just witnessed a wicked political pivot… This is a tidal wave sweeping the country…”

sarah is right. this was MASSACHUSETTS for gosh sakes! is there a single democrats’ seat that is safe? seems to me they all have a bulls-eye on their backs beginning today.

Let me begin by saying that Sarah Palin is an idiot an anyone who uses her quotes to support their opinions is one too. Secondly, I think the Democrats have not been strong enough in their leadership and Obama has not listened to his base. This definately is a wakeup call for Dems. They can either grow a backbone or get the hell out of the way.

  • micky says:

Yeah Brad, you can say whatever you want about Palin but all you’re doing is giving us another example of why your party got b*tch slapped yesterday.
Tell me, whats so idiotic about the Palin quote ?
Dems have been very strong in their leadership. The only problem is that their interpretation/brand of leadership has been for everyone to just shut the hell up and do what they say because as we all know the left needs to have its hand held for fear they’ll follow the lemming in front of them off the cliff.

  • Ken says:

“Let me begin by saying that Sarah Palin is an idiot an anyone who uses her quotes to support their opinions is one too.”

There’s that pig ignorance and arrogance we were just talking about, Brad. Thanks for proving Kate’s point, genius.

“Secondly, I think the Democrats have not been strong enough in their leadership and Obama has not listened to his base.”

So you think Brown won because Obama hasn’t been liberal ENOUGH??? Is that what you’re saying, because if it is you definitely don’t need to be calling anyone else an idiot.

“This definately is a wakeup call for Dems.”

Sure is. Many dems are already abandoning ship on the current health care reform. Some of them apparently realize that the American people are not happy having this bill shoved down their throat when they dont want it. Question is, how many dems will get the message.

It sure is fun to watch, though!!!

  • micky says:

Watch, dems are all going to start buying GM pickups with 200k on them, Hillary will go down south and turn on her southern drawl again wearing a six shooter on her hip. Dont know how well that’ll go with a powder blue polyester pants suit.
Geithner might become a sacrificial lamb, Reids already saying he’ll seat Brown ASAP. Its funny watching them all move to where they think its expedient.

  • PenniePan says:

Well Kate you couldn’t be more wrong in your analysis. This will only strengthen the will of the Democrats in office because they must get HCR and even if it means losing a seat to mob rule, that’s what they’ll choose. What you simple minded conservatives don’t see is that Democrats have been waiting for this very moment for 60 years. It is our chance to get healthcare for all and even if it isn’t perfect, it will be in place to build upon. So, Democrats will sacrifice their political careers if that’s what it takes to get HCR.

Ken why must you always be such a smart ass? Micky you are a silly thing aren’t you? No one is more of a cartoon then that meat head Mass just elected.

  • lisab says:

“So, Democrats will sacrifice their political careers if that’s what it takes to get HCR.”

or … they can keep their seat and get a huge salary, free health care for themselves and their family and huge perks for life.

i think i know which way most of the dem congressmen will go

  • Sheleagh says:

    @The writer of this tripe:

“here’s the deal: ‘going along to get along’ is OUT. compromise? OUT. it is patently clear to ‘We the People’ that the entire democrat agenda is willfully destructive and does not have our best interests in mind.”

Clearly you have no understanding of how a democratic Republic works. We elect people to represent us. If you did not vote for those in DC right now making decisions on your behalf, too bad soooo sad. NOW HERE’S THE DEAL: we are still in charge. We can run the boards if we need to and if it’s worth fighting for, then we will. The Brown election gives you very little other then a green pretty boy who wants to give his daughters away on national TV and poses nude. Well the election DOES give you something… you can bring the coffee now into the room and that’s about it. Better then being locked out though right? Quit your silly demands.

  • JT says:

The only thing I can add to this finely written missive is “Thank you Mr. President for finally creating 1 new job today…for a man in Massachusetts!!”

  • David says:

“Well Kate you couldn’t be more wrong in your analysis. This will only strengthen the will of the Democrats in office” Well, we’ll see if it’s ‘too little, too late’ for those Dems, Pennie.

“…because they must get HCR…” Oh, they MUST, eh? Sounds like the cart leading the horse. NO legislation of that sort is a “must” for America.

“What you simple minded conservatives don’t see is that Democrats have been waiting for this very moment for 60 years.” So what? That doesn’t make it good or right.

“It is our chance to get healthcare for all…” Uhhh… have you not heard? It WILL NOT COVER ALL!!!!! As in NOT covering everyone. You know – people STILL LEFT OUT. You’re DELUDED and WRONG Pennie. Study UP on the damn bill (that you want soooo much to pass). Sheesh.

“So, Democrats will sacrifice their political careers if that’s what it takes to get HCR.” I’m all for true STATESMEN or Public Servants sacrificing their careers on the alter of TRUTH and FREEDOM, but that ain’t what these sleazebags are up to. It’s mostly a power and control grab.

“Ken why must you always be such a smart ass?” Is that what you call his often insightful response to your drivel?

“Micky you are a silly thing aren’t you?” Again, I find Micky’s responses to be very much more thought-out and reasoned than almost all/any of your responses, Pennie.

“No one is more of a cartoon then that meat head Mass just elected.” Let’s see… so you think it’s cartoonish to espouse positions such as:

    – no bribing & back-room deals,

    – no trumped up global warming ‘evidence’,
    – say what you mean and mean what you say,
    – don’t lie to the public,
    – repeatedly, even (I’m talking to YOU, B.H.O),
    – it’s OK to have a car (or truck) with over 200,000 miles on it,
    – the Senate seats belong to the PEOPLE and not to the Kennedys,
    – don’t spend wildly more than you take in,
    – don’t grow the FEDERAL government to such as size that it dwarfs and oppresses the State governments and the CITIZENRY,
    – don’t tax the electorate into revolt (it happened once before, remember??)

Again, Pennie, I say to you: Sheesh, get a grip.

  • Ken says:

“This will only strengthen the will of the Democrats in office because they must get HCR and even if it means losing a seat to mob rule, that’s what they’ll choose.”

As usual, Pennie, you have no clue how the real world works. Do you really think enough dems are going to commit political suicide for the sake of ruining health care? How stupid are you?

Here’s just a taste of the panic going on in Washington right now:

    http://hotair.com/archives/2010/01/20/report-house-liberals-tell-pelosi-they-wont-play-ping-pong-on-obamacare/

“In a private meeting in the Capitol just now, a dozen or more House liberals bluntly told Nancy Pelosi that there was no chance that they would vote to pass the Senate bill in its current form — making it all but certain that House Dems won’t opt for this approach, a top House liberal tells me.”

“We cannot support the Senate bill — period,” is the message that liberals delivered to the Speaker, Dem Rep Raul Grijalva told me in an interview just now…”

Get it? The dems only care about their own power. They dont’ care about health care or helping the poor, it’s all about control. Grow up. The only chance Obamacare had, in its present form, was the supermajority. Now its gone.

“What you simple minded conservatives don’t see is that Democrats have been waiting for this very moment for 60 years.”

What you brainless lilberals don’t see is that you have been trying to ruin the country for 60 years, what’s so different now?

“So, Democrats will sacrifice their political careers if that’s what it takes to get HCR.”

LOL!! Yes, Pennie, I’m sure we will see the spineless liberal politicians fighting for the right to dive on this political grenade first!!!! They really DO care, Pennie, really they do!!!! They just saw a Republican take a Senators seat in one of the most liberal states in the country.

“Ken why must you always be such a smart ass?”

It’s my nature. Why must you always be such a dumb ass?

“NOW HERE’S THE DEAL: we are still in charge. ”

That’s it, keep being arrogant and ignorant, it only works in our favor! Ignore the lessons of Mass. and continue on your suicide mission, please.

“The Brown election gives you very little other then a green pretty boy who wants to give his daughters away on national TV and poses nude.”

I’ll take that over a completely unqualified and idiotic president who is in way over his head, whose wife looks like a cross dresser.

“Better then being locked out though right? Quit your silly demands.”

Not likely. Enjoy your “time in charge” because the clock is ticking. Your moronic attititude and complete disregard for what the people want managed to revive the Republican party from “extinction” in one year!! Thanks again, you guys are the best!!!!

  • micky says:

“Well Kate you couldn’t be more wrong in your analysis. This will only strengthen the will of the Democrats in office”

This coming from the same moonbat who told us all a year ago that by now the GOP and conservatives would be a thing of the past, never to be seen again.
Go read the leaves in your bong water and tell me what else you come up with.

” because they must get HCR and even if it means losing a seat to mob rule, that’s what they’ll choose. ”

Obama could wipe his ass with the damn thing and you loons would all be jumping up and down claiming victory.

“What you simple minded conservatives don’t see is that Democrats have been waiting for this very moment for 60 years. It is our chance to get healthcare for all and even if it isn’t perfect, it will be in place to build upon. ”

For all ? You guys are so full of crap and have no idea what you’re doing. At first it was for 36 million, now its for all ? I got news for you morons, the majority of this country has been saying for a year (and long before that) we doent want this crap so stop treating us like old ladys that you’re trying to help cross the street when we never wanted to cross in the first place !

“Micky you are a silly thing aren’t you? No one is more of a cartoon then that meat head Mass just elected.”

Yet in the last year you’ve never ever been able to make the least intelligent argument against anything I’ve ever said. You’re just a mindless rambling mouth repeating every generic moonbat talking point there is requiring no orginal thought whatsoever.

  • PenniePan says:

As usual the rightwingtards suck all the air out of the room with their snide comments. Ken and Micky are like the local village idiots.

Did you see Brown today with the Democrats? He is a RINO. He will wind up voting more often with us then with you so maybe he won’t be so bad after all.

  • NC Cop says:

“Ken and Micky are like the local village idiots.”

Thanks Pennie! From a completely uninformed, uneducated, sheep like you, I take that as a compliment. I’m sure Micky will too!!

“He will wind up voting more often with us then with you so maybe he won’t be so bad after all.”

Wow, and I thought the other dems and media were in denial!! Keep thinking that Pennie. You’re so smart!! Hey, how is that prediction on the dems “sticking to their guns” on health care coming? Let’s check and see:

    http://hotair.com/archives/2010/01/21/breaking-pelosi-announces-that-she-cant-pass-senate-obamacare-bill/

“House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that she does not have the votes needed to pass the Senate version of the health care bill.

“I don’t see the votes for it at this time,” Pelosi told reporters in a briefing.

After Democrats lost their 60-vote supermajority in the Senate Tuesday after Republicans won an upset victory in the Massachusetts special election to replace the late Ted Kennedy, House passage of the current Senate health bill appeared to be one of few options available for Democrats hoping to complete their year-long quest to pass health reform.”

Oh yes, Pennie, the dems are so bravely sacrificing their careers to make sure that the poor have health care!! HA!

Don’t feel bad, though, they’ll pass some sort of health care reform that won’t amount to much of anything, but brain dead zombies like you will dance around declaring victory without realizing that you’re done absolutely nothing. Pretty much par for course.

  • micky says:

Nice try Pennie, but as usual you propell the idiocy you claim everyone else is so full of by only being able to call names and never ever adress the issue at hand with any cognitive input.
I’ve seen plenty of republicans with democrats, so freeking what ?

You calling anyone an idiot is like a turd wiping its own ass

  • micky says:

Heres the perfect example of liberal idiocy cloaked as intelligence. (Courtesy of Beck)

    Obama with George Stephanopoulos in reference to Browns victory;

“People are angry and they’re frustrated because of whats happened in the last year or two years but whats happened in the last 8 years.’

Right, this guys arrogance preceeds any intelligence hes claimed to have. Instead of confessing that its a democratic congress, him and his administrations fault he still thinks he can blame Bush and that the reason a republican was elected in Mass as an answer to 8 years of republican failure. BDS at levels I never thought possible.
And hes just as fricking dumb for thinking that the same crap that got him elected is going change the inevitable slaughter coming up. But hey, you avante garde` intellects like Penny fell for it once already, and like most things in history that have failed, you’ll fall for it again, and again, and again because your arrogance, naivety, narcissism and idealism have you believing that all the others who tried to make water flow up hill just werent doing it right.

  • David says:

“As usual the rightwingtards suck all the air out of the room with their snide comments.”

Pennie, I’ve read all the comments between your first post and this post of yours. Can you please tell me what these “snide remarks” are?

“As usual the rightwingtards suck all the air out of the room with their snide comments.”

Pennie, I’ve read all the comments between your first post and this post of yours. Can you please tell me what evidence there is that we are rightwing”tards”? I mean, have arguments been put forth that are not supportable? Or soooo freaking unsupportable that they deserve a ‘tard moniker?? I beg to differ. I offer that is has been YOUR posts that are thin, weak, superfluous, aggressive, rude and unsubstantiated.

“Did you see Brown today with the Democrats? He is a RINO.”

So I get by your quote that you believe that the new Senator should be an *sshole? That he should pull the same exclusive “club” sh*t that the DEMS have been pulling over the last year? The same behavior that actually RESULTED in this historical election in Massachusetts?? That’s not what he was elected to do. That’s not what is INCLINED to do either, I would think.

Senator Brown was elected to represent the people of Massachusetts – not to be a blunt *sshole in Washington D.C. Oh, and by the way, did you not hear his remark either?? That he’s been working with Democrats for some time now in the state of Massachusetts! It’s close to 3-1 DEM in Massachusetts. He’s used to working with Democrats. So what’s freakin’ odd about that?! Sheesh.

“He will wind up voting more often with us then with you so maybe he won’t be so bad after all.”

I’ll wait to see about THIS ‘prediction’ of yours… but I won’t be holding my breath that you’ll be right.

  • Bob A says:

All of the above being said, the Republicans can’t sit back and think this is an endorsement of their policies. They must wake up and start listening to the American people and work toward that end. They must return to the core values of the American people.
