I am going to assume at this point that “capital” means the capital of the Crimea, Simferopol, and not Kiev. I can’t imagine a military convoy getting all the way to Kiev without being attacked and stopped. Simferopol is where goverment buildings were seized yesterday.

At the tail end of his 90 minute meeting with Russian President Dmitri Medvedev Monday, President Obama said that he would have “more flexibility” to deal with controversial issues such as missile defense, but incoming Russian President Vladimir Putin needs to give him “space.”
It appears that the one who has the “space” and “more flexibility” is Putin.
