In an epic stance of brave virtue signaling, Sheryl Crow thinks selling her Tesla will hit Elon Musk where it hurts.
Sheryl Crow has had enough of Elon Musk. The singer shared a new Instagram post on Friday waving goodbye to her Tesla, confirming that she sold her car following Musk and President Donald Trump‘s efforts to gut government programs through the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
All of this is to call attention to how bad DOGE is, and by proxy, Elon Musk. Keep in mind, Sheryl is the one who advocated for saving the environment by using only one square of toilet paper when using the bathroom.
Sheryl has a mission. Sell her Tesla to keep that government waste, fraud, and abuse flowing!
In a video posted to Instagram, the 1990s radio superstar shared a brief video of a black Tesla loaded onto the back of a flatbed vehicle, with Andrea Bocelli’s rendition of “Time To Say Goodbye” as a soundtrack. Sheryl Crow, dressed in a casual jacket and fatigue pants, waves from the street as the truck pulls away with the vehicle.
“My parents always said… you are who you hang out with,” the caption of the post reads. “There comes a time when you have to decide who you are willing to align with. So long Tesla.”
So stunning. Much bravery here. Everyone?! Please clap! Especially given her next move involving the proceeds of the sale. She donated all of it to NPR.
Crow, who has been an outspoken critic of the president, slammed efforts to dismantle NPR, which was founded in 1970 and receives the majority of its funding from private sponsorships and user contributions.
“Money donated to @NPR, which is under threat by President Musk, in hopes that the truth will continue to find its way to those willing to know the truth,” the country artist wrote.
Yes, NPR does receive some funding from the federal government ie; our tax dollars. But Sheryl doesn’t want that spigot turned off.
What’s super funny about her brave virtue signaling is that she accidentally made the point that NPR could survive WITHOUT government funding!
Going to be hilarious when she realizes she needs a ride to Whole Foods, and her Uber driver arrives in a Tesla.

Cue the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme.
I’d pay big money to watch that show! But the bigger point is this: NPR shouldn’t be funded by our tax dollars.

What’s so brave and stunning about this is that Sheryl is showing us that she cares about the environment only when it’s convenient. She doesn’t care about government fraud, waste, or abuse. And Elon already made his money when she purchased the Tesla for around $60K. Likely NPR netted …$30k?
What is even funnier about this is that Elon Musk even helped her with an issue with her Tesla!
Night mode with 0% brightness is actually too dark during the day. This is ultimately our fault. We will update our software so that 0% brightness is always usable relative to ambient conditions.

But that doesn’t matter now. Now, because Elon is working for free to get our federal government to run more efficiently and quit wasting our tax dollars, Crow is big mad and sold her Tesla to fund NPR.
Everyone please clap!

What a lunkhead: There are many reasons to not buy or to sell a Tesla; Hers is not one of them!
Go back to singing you trained monkey. People pay you to sing (well, those that like whiny ass terrible songs do), not for your inane takes on politics..
