We are looking at 2015 in the rear view mirror. Unfortunately for the security of this country, the issues we are dealing with aren’t so easily gotten rid of. Federal agency personnel are stretched so thin in attempting to combat the major national security problems engendered by lax screening problems within our immigration system; that I’m surprised our men and women on the ground can even function! But function they do, and in some cases, they are successful.
The Border Patrol nabbed two Pakistani men with ties to terrorism at the U.S.-Mexico border in September in the latest instance of illegal immigrants from so-called “special interest countries” using the southern border as a point of entry to the U.S.
Muhammad Azeem and Mukhtar Ahmad, both in their 20s and from Gujrat, were caught Sept. 20 by agents south of San Diego and just over the international border from Tijuana. When agents checked their identities through databases they got hits on both of them: Mr. Ahmad popped up as an associate of a known or suspected terrorist, while Mr. Azeem’s information had been shared by a foreign government for intelligence purposes.
I can tell you this, I am extremely thankful for our Border Patrol agents. They deal with long hours, hostile territory (you try patrolling the deserts of AZ/NM/CA/West TX!!), hostile people trying to sneak into this country via fair means or foul, and hostile – sometimes idiotic politicians playing gotcha games. Kudos to them for sure! That said, their nabbing of these two raises some darned interesting questions given the events of the last two months in this country and abroad.

Isn't this special. Just in time for new years festivities. Makes one wonder how many made it past the good guys?— The American Infidel (@JohnMLayser) December 30, 2015
First, those two were caught because of up-to-date databases here in the U.S. and abroad. How can we be sure that all future information in the international databases will be correct when A. we already know that ISIS has gotten their hands on passport making machines?
B. As we’ve now found out in Turkey, Germany, and Belgium, known terrorists responsible for the Paris terrorist attacks slipped through on forged documents. In fact, just this week two suspected terrorists were arrested in Brussels, Belgium. That arrest, and likely information gathered from that arrest, raised fears and the threat level high enough that the New Years Eve fireworks celebration in Brussels was cancelled. Would we have gotten the same information in time?
C. There’s a certain new executive order from the Duffer In Chief, that will go into the federal record as a RULE, all 181 pages of it. One that, IMO, will basically turn our country into both a safe haven and a sieve for terrorists and terrorist sympathizers. Think I’m wrong? Take a look at what he’s done thus far:
In 2012, Obama bypassed laws against illegal immigration by awarding two-year work-permits to at least 800,000 foreign migrants who were brought here by their parents. In 2015, the courts blocked his plan to award work-permits to roughly 5 million migrants who have U.S.-born children. From 2009 to 2015, Obama also allowed at least 250,000 Central American migrants into the United States to request asylum or refugee status. In 2013, Obama added roughly 2 million extra foreign workers to the economy, while roughly 4 million young Americans began looking for work.
The executive order/rule that he has put into place? Green cards and amnesty for everyone! No really, its true!
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services plans to seek a vendor to produce as many as 34 million blank work permits and ‘green cards’ – the paperwork that authorizes immigrants to live and work in the United States – as the White House prepares to issue an executive order after the Nov. 4 midterm elections.
According to a draft solicitation published online, the government agency will look for a company that can produce a minimum 4 million cards per year for five years, and 9 million in the early stages.
That vendor solicitation was put into place last year. However, given the announcement of Obama’s executive order that will publish TODAY, wanna bet a vendor will be found soon?
Here’s the thing. We will be flooding and overworking our databases with information that already is difficult to track, especially if that info is bogus. Our resources are stretched thin and have to work through the myopic prism of politics. Successes like those of our Border Patrol back in September when they nabbed those Pakistanis attempting to weasel their way in under false pretenses will be few and far between. Obama, the Duffer In Chief, is more interested in golf and throwing the doors open to 34 million foreign workers in the next few years than the security of our country. I don’t know about you, but this is just one of the many Obama gifts I’d like to give back rather than keep.
