Bombing ISIS (Video) and Weekend Links

Bombing ISIS (Video) and Weekend Links

On Thursday night, Barack Obama authorized targeted airstrikes against ISIS, along with humanitarian aid airdrops to the thousands and thousands of displaced Iraqis. He really didn’t have a choice, did he? ISIS is rapidly increasingly their brutal tactics to instill fear in its enemies across the Middle East. They’ve even boasted that they’ll raise their flag over our White House. They’re evil and violence is their creed. I suppose that beheading toddlers and Christian genocide is a bit much for even BHO to ignore.

So, enter the US military in what Barack Obama called “a long-term project“.

This.

“…from the Video of two U.S. military targeted airstrikes against Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) targets in northern Iraq.

The first attack occurred about 6:45 a.m. EDT when two F/A-18 aircraft dropped 500-pound laser-guided bombs on a mobile artillery piece near Irbil, the capital of Iraq’s Kurdistan region. ISIL was using this artillery to shell Kurdish forces defending the city, where U.S. personnel are located.

Two additional air strikes occurred later in the day, the last at about 11:20 a.m. EDT when four F/A-18 aircraft successfully struck a stationary ISIL convoy of seven vehicles and a mortar position near Irbil, neutralizing the mortar and convoy.”

Bombing ISIS jihadis. Of course, I’d much rather see a screaming cluster bomb used to take out 1000+ of those goat boys all at once, but still, a dead terrorist is a beautiful thing.
