Well, it’s about damn time! Bob Casey finally got a clue and admitted what everyone else has known since November 6. He lost and Dave McCormick won the PA Senate race.
U.S. Sen. Robert P. Casey Jr. has conceded defeat to his Republican opponent in Pennsylvania’s 2024 Senate race, Wall Street hedge fund manager David McCormick.
Casey’s concession comes after Pennsylvania’s 67 counties were already in the midst of a statewide recount, triggered by state law that authorizes a new tabulation of the votes in any statewide election when margin between the two leading candidates is less than 0.5 percentage points.
Unfortunately, because the margin was less than 1%, a recount was mandatory.
Yet Bob Casey and his helpers persisted. We even ended up with Bucks County Commissioners going ON THE RECORD stating that they could break Pennsylvania law at will if it suits their whims and narrative.
In that case it was counting undated or misdated ballots. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court had already stated VERY clearly that misdated or undated ballots could NOT be counted. Yet Bucks, Philadelphia, and Montgomery counties persisted in hopes their favorite, Bob Casey would land more votes. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ended up issuing an incredibly BLUNT ruling.
One of the Buck’s county commissioners is now desperately backpedaling and stating it was just all passionate emotion.
A Democratic election official in Pennsylvania offered an impassioned apology Wednesday for claiming “precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country” to justify counting about 600 faulty ballots in defiance of state Supreme Court rulings.
“The passion in my heart got the best of me and I apologize again for that,” Bucks County Commissioner Diane Ellis-Marseglia said in front of a fiery crowd at a county meeting.
“I made a mistake, and because I am an elected official, I am held to a far higher standard than everybody else. So, to the citizens I serve, I apologize, and I will continue to work hard for you and endeavor to not make such a mistake again.”
Uh huh….pull the other leg.
So, the recount started at 8am Wednesday morning. A recount that was going to supposedly take weeks and a boatload of taxpayer dollars. Except the recount will either be done by the end of this week or sometime next week.
The highlight of this? Bob Casey still loses. And he finally acknowledged that fact early yesterday evening.
During my time in office, I have been guided by an inscription on the Finance Building in Harrisburg: “All public service is a trust, given in faith and accepted in honor.”

Thank you for your trust in me for all these years, Pennsylvania. It has been the honor of my lifetime. pic.twitter.com/RSXEFwdge8
What’s interesting about this is that Bob Casey is claiming he was all about election integrity. Uh huh… so much integrity that supporters of his tried to game the system, and he refused to read the writing on the wall.
Casey had resisted conceding, citing thousands of votes that still needed to be counted and entering court fights to maximize the number of ballots included. But as final ballots were adjudicated Thursday, Casey’s roughly 16,500 vote deficit was too large to overcome and so large that a recount would not impact it.
Keep in mind, all the talking heads and key pollsters said Pennsylvania would go for Harris/Walz and stay fully Democrat. Yet it’s folks like Scott Presler who literally spent TWO YEARS in Pennsylvania stumping for Republican candidates, and a solid RNC/Trump ground game, along with an unexpected Amish vote that turned the tide for Trump and McCormick.
Scot himself was not amused that Bucks County Commissioners tried to game the system. And issued a very peaceful warning.

Scott was very instrumental in turning Bucks County from blue to red. So Diane might want to take a step back and realize she’s up against a formidable and very knowledgeable opponent!
Back to Bob Casey. He conceded. Which formally flipped a key Senate seat to Republican.
Casey realized he wasn’t going to be able to cheat his way to victory. A for effort though. https://t.co/JHD62CTHxe

This race came down to less than 20,000 votes. For all those who insist that if they don’t vote, it’s no big deal, this is yet another exhibit as to why YOUR votes do make a difference!
I’ll leave Scott Presler with the final word on this.
It was an honor helping to defeat you

& elect future Senator Dave McCormick.
Your election denialism did serious damage to democrats in Bucks County,
as well as Shapiro’s image.
We won’t forget that you tried to steal the election.
Congratulations, President Trump.

Hope it’s expensive.
and I will continue to work hard for you
Well, no, actually. You should now be out of a job. Or in however many days it takes to recall you. If you had integrity and any sense of shame, you would resign and move to another state.
endeavor to not make such a mistake again
You shouldn’t be allowed the opportunity. Period.
yet another exhibit as to why YOUR votes do make a difference!
As long the count is honest, yes. And you can defeat the cheat!
