Alec Baldwin Confronts Anti-Israel Protesters in NYC

Actor Alec Baldwin has a reputation for being one of the most outspoken progressives in Hollywood. If a cause is on the Left, he’s sure to promote it, and damn the conservatives who oppose him. So it must’ve been bewildering to him to find himself on the other side of the Leftist Cause du Jour — anti-Israel protests in New York City.

On Monday night Baldwin was in the Big Apple, walking near 29th Street on his way to volunteer to teach an acting class. According to a source he was just minding his own business, and did not intend to participate in an anti-Israel protest:

Alec was on his way to volunteer to teach an acting class. He had no intention of going to the protest and was not involved in any way. He was approached aggressively and repeatedly. The police stepped in to avoid further confrontation so he could make his way to the class safely.

But this is Alec Baldwin we’re talking about here. And if there’s anything we know about Baldwin, it’s that he’s pugnacious and can’t keep his mouth shut. Apparently he exchanged words with one of the protesters, which “escalated the situation,” according to a photojournalist who captured the confrontation.

Here’s how things went down, according to the New York Post:

“Shut your f—king mouth, you have no f—king shame,” one man shouted back at Baldwin.

When he was asked if he condemned Israel, Baldwin replied, “No, I support peace for Gaza.”

“Go f— yourself,” the man yelled.

“You ask stupid questions,” Baldwin could be heard telling one of the rabble-rousers. “Ask me a smart question, and I’ll answer your question.”

Here’s a video of the brouhaha.

So Alec Baldwin gets some shade from activists on his side of the political divide. Sweet Schadenfreude.

Alec Baldwin Not the Only One Caught Up

Ordinary New Yorkers and visitors also endured the tantrums of protesters calling for “Intifada” — or, as the Cambridge Dictionary defines it, a violent act of oppostion by the Palestinian people to the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

We’re not talking about Martin Luther King, Jr. calling for people to “live together as brothers.” These people want the destruction of the nation of Israel, and presumably all the Jews who live within its borders.

So late on Monday afternoon and into the evening, anti-Israel protesters took over New York City’s major transportation hubs. These included Grand Central Terminal, Port Authority Bus Terminal, and Penn Station. Local authorities warned passengers of travel delays.

While the Washington Examiner reported that “the march appeared to have remained largely peaceful,” incidents of a more bellicose nature broke out leading to arrests.

They also blocked traffic and shut down Grand Central Station. Imagine being a New Yorker just trying to get home.

They also shut down Penn Station:

One of the protest leaders was Nerdeen Kiswani, a law professor at City University of New York, who is also a raging antisemite, terrorist sympathizer, and Hamas mouthpiece. The Anti-Defamation League describes Nerdeen:

Nerdeen Kiswani is an anti-Israel activist and co-founder and leader of Within Our Lifetime-United for Palestine (WOL), a radical New York-based anti-Israel organization that routinely expresses support for violence against Israel.
Kiswani’s antisemitism is clearly expressed via her expressions of extreme anti-Zionist rhetoric, including her calls for all “Zionists” to be vilified and expelled from community spaces, as well as her support for indiscriminate violence against Israel aimed at the country’s dissolution.

Yeah, she seems nice. Just the sort of instructor you want for your naïve and uninformed college kid.

Will Baldwin Finally Wake Up?

Last week I listened to Megyn Kelly’s podcast at Spotify in which she interviewed Bari Weiss of The Free Press. Bari, who is Jewish, related a phone call she received from another Jewish friend. This woman told her that she “went to bed on October 6” as a lifelong liberal, supporting every cause that would support the oppressed.

However, she woke up on October 8 as a Republican. “And I’m 70 years old,” she told Bari Weiss. Weiss believes that her friend is not alone, and that more Jewish Americans are waking up and finding that those they supported actually view them as an enemy who must be eradicated. I hope Bari Weiss is correct.

Alec Baldwin isn’t Jewish, but he’s a hardline leftist who finally had himself hoist with his own progressive petard. Will he change? I doubt it. But it’s kind of satisfying to see him get his comeuppance at the hands of his fellow leftist travelers.

Wait, what? That came from Alec Baldwin’s mouth?! LOL
(Adam Baldwin, I might expect to hear that and not laugh. Unless he was playing Jayne.)

So Alec Baldwin gets some shade from activists on his side of the political divide.
Yeah, and it seems the only thing he cared about was that they gave him grief.

Local authorities warned passengers of travel delays.
And it should followed to say “And we’re breaking heads to minimize that impact.”

“the march appeared to have remained largely peaceful,”
Sorry, but that’s not true if they’re blocking transportation. If you’re preventing me from going about my legal and necessary business, then you are no longer a “peaceable assembly.”

    Yeah, she seems nice.
She needs to be removed from society. Period.

more Jewish Americans are waking up and finding that those they supported actually view them as an enemy
But what they’re NOT waking up to is that the ideology they espouse – Progressivism, a heresy of Christianity – is what brings them to this point. It’s not that those progressives over there are just bad people. It’s that progressivism, itself, is bad. Most of them will refuse to even see that they have adopted a religion – “Oh no, I’m totally secular.” No, dear, you’re a progressive, worshipping “Reason” and “SCIENCE!” and your own mind, and believing in all the doctrines of “an arc of history” and virtues that aren’t.

Until they see that and reject it, these “red-pills” won’t make a damn bit of difference except in the very short term.

The protesters should probably not bother someone with a confirmed kill.

  • Mad Celt says:

Be careful! Baldwin can fire a gun without squeezing it’s trigger.
