As the Trump Administration and ICE crack down on illegal immigration, activist groups are seemingly popping up in the most likely (and unlikely) of spaces.
Take the Minnesota activist group, Monarca. Monarca hosted an event yesterday at Roseville Lutheran Church in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro yesterday, and the doors saw more attendees than they would have seen on any given Sunday.
The attendees (shocker on this fun fact) were mostly white, middle-aged and elderly. They listened as presenters called ICE a “white supremacist police force that has no oversight.” That Renee Nicole Good’s death by an ICE agent was brought on by the “misogynist goals of a white person and nationalist movement that is strangling our nation.”
Monarca “trains” individuals on “upstander basics”. So, all of the white people at the Lutheran church on a Saturday afternoon are wannabe “upstanders”. They must feel so good about themselves. Some of the “upstander” basics highlighted by this activist group are as follows:
Do:
Take pictures/video
Step back if asked
Name and phone of people detained
Ask detainee who to callDon’t:
Give legal advice beyond basic rights
Livestream
Post on social media w/o talking to immigrants rights group
Escalate-Monarca
Sounds to me like Renee Good and her “wife” did not “step back when asked” and chose to “escalate”. Monarca also has a collection of printable PDF door signs in case of an ICE raid.
But Monarca is not the only “grass roots” group “organizing” and holding “trainings” under the roof of a tax-exempt facility like a church. ICE Watch is one of them. The New York State Youth Leadership Council, a “non-profit”, 501(c)3, is another. The site has its own merch store where you can purchase a “Borderless Baddie” sweatshirt. More on the NYSYLC:
The NYSYLC was founded in 2007. Since then, we have worked to support and mobilize undocumented youth, especially in New York City, through innovative leadership development opportunities and grassroots organizing. We pioneered ‘Coming Out of the Shadows’ rallies as spaces for undocumented youth to share their stories; formed and supported DREAM Teams, hubs for undocu-organizing and school-specific advocacy, at high schools and colleges across NYC.”-NYSYLC
Stop right there. At high schools and colleges across NYC.
Then, there’s The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. This organization saw $80.4 million in revenue in 2023, with more than $77 million in government grants.
The web becomes more intricate. Take The National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression (NAARPR), with branches in Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, Dallas, D.C. and Philly, to name a few cities. Their affiliates per their website? (New) Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), a radical platform that “stands unconditionally with Palestine” and “calls for a Free Palestine from the River to the Sea!” They also, apparently, hate campus administrators because these administrators “stand with campus police and law enforcement”. NAARPR also affiliates themselves with the Communist Party USA (CPUSA)-who (snicker) wants to fight the oppression and wants the U.S. out of Venezuela, like NOW. Another Minneapolis-based group is the Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO). Here’s what they said about Charlie Kirk’s assassination:
Figures like Charlie Kirk and his machine, Turning Point USA, were once fringe commentators. But they seeped into mainstream politics during Trump’s first and second terms and have been systematically forging a political atmosphere of reactionary hatred.
The playbook is clear: poison the well of public opinion and debate with the raw sewage of white supremacist conspiracy theories like the ‘Great Replacement,’ dehumanize immigrants as predators, LGBTQ people as ‘groomers’ and resistance as terror and crime.
Political violence comes with this climate – a climate his movement has meticulously cultivated. Now they wield the event of Kirk’s going into that good night as both a national tragedy to be mourned and as a weapon to brand all progressive movements and dissent as terrorism. Declaring states of emergency and deploying National Guard troops in Black cities is another weapon they’ve been wielding. They are going to use this killing as justification for another wave of repression and reaction. We’re going to oppose every attack, and we will be in the streets, with as many people joining us as possible.
-FRSO
We will be in the streets. Blowing our whistles and jotting down names in pencil (not pen, because pens freeze in the Minneapolis winter). We will be with our home made signs, blocking traffic, honking our horns and dancing to the song on the radio.
The Resistance.
To the left and its power-hungry leaders, Renee Good is the latest ‘Maryland Man,’ aka illegal immigrant Kilmar Abrego Garcia. The accused human trafficker, MS-13 gang member and wife beater was characterized as a poor, hard-working ‘migrant’ by a lying left and corporate media, even as the truth got in the way of that narrative.
More so, it appears the left is, fittingly, turning Good into the next George Floyd — the felon who had fatal levels of fentanyl in his system when he died in police custody. As ‘social justice’ liberals lifted Floyd up as a martyr of ‘police brutality,’ they went about tearing down cities like Minneapolis in 2020’s ‘summer of love’ insurrection. It feels like we’re on the precipice of that disastrous time once again.”-Matt Kittle, The Federalist
I remember when a pastor of a local church I used to attend got up on the stage with a Conservative political candidate running for a local office. Right on cue, the left-leaning community I live in complained. While I, personally, agreed with the Conservative values of this candidate, I was not a fan of this gesture by the pastor because 1) the guy is an opportunist in every sense of the word and 2) a church is a CHURCH and should be strictly about the GOSPEL and not advancing political agendas.
But one has to ask, WHO is really funding these groups? And WHERE is the money coming from? And WHY are churches and schools and libraries hosting these events? These cowards enabling this are in hiding in their multi-million dollar homes with security detail here on our turf and overseas, promoting this division and feeding the flames. That’s the answer I have.
The poisoning of the well runs deep. In this tangled mess of “organizations”, some of them non-profit, these activist groups are assembling at churches, libraries and schools. The faceless, nameless cowards funding this disorder, are taking advantage of these individuals, some well-meaning neighbors who want to “do right” by their friends down the street and some longing for nostalgia of their “Make Love, Not War”, Woodstock days of yore. These, white-haired, unassuming upstanders do not see the sinister side of the radicalism they are promoting or the puppeteers behind the curtain.
If anyone is responsible for the deaths of George Floyd and Renee Good, it’s them.

Recruiting more sacrificial lambs. The religion of the left demands the blood of their acolytes.
Not sure why illegal aliens and no rule of law are the hills they want to die on but I’m fine with indulging their martyrdom fetish.
Is their Mother ship going to pick them up after the ass whooping or leave them stranded on this strange inhospitable planet.
