If it weren’t for a good guy with a gun, the shooting at In-N-Out in Twin Falls, Idaho would’ve been so much worse.

At least three people were killed and five others wounded after a gunman opened fire at a recently opened In-N-Out Burger on Saturday, sending people running from the shopping center in Twin Falls, Idaho, as shots rang out and the gunfire spilled outside.

A call came in to Twin Falls police around 2:30 p.m. that there was an active shooter inside the dining area of the restaurant, which opened on July 24, said Josh Palmer, a city spokesman.

There were seven injured. As videos show, the shooter was jerkily running around the parking lot, fired shots at a Tesla, injuring the couple inside it, and then going back to his vehicle to possibly retrieve more weapons and/or ammunition.

What is clear is that the shooter is dead and despite some despicable people on X, we don’t have a clue as to the shooter’s motive nor his background.

Good ole Evan took one look at a screen shot and decided this was the route he was going to take. And is rightly getting hammered for his assumptions. 

Again, no one has a clue as to the shooter’s identity, his background, or his politics. But you can darned well bet the gun grabbers will be out in force yammering about those bad AK-47’s and wanting more gun laws. 

They will ignore the shooter’s motive, which we don’t know yet, and they will work overtime to ignore that a good guy with a GUN stopped the shooter from injuring and killing more people. 

A man armed with a handgun exchanged gunfire with the suspect during Saturday’s deadly shooting at an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho, forcing the gunman to take cover, according to an eyewitness cited in multiple reports.

Lane Koehn told The Associated Press he saw a man carrying an AR-style rifle emerge near the drive-thru on Saturday afternoon before another man pulled a pistol and fired at the gunman.

Koehn said the man with the pistol then stayed to help an injured In-N-Out employee until paramedics arrived.

Koehn, 34, a construction worker, said he was driving home from work when he spotted a young man, whom he believed was in his teens, carrying what looked like a large rifle and firing toward traffic near a stoplight outside the In-N-Out, The New York Times reported.

If the shooter hadn’t been forced to react to someone shooting at him, it’s a fair bet that more innocents could’ve been injured or killed.

Keep in mind something very important here. The police WERE NOT THERE. They were on their way. They were still minutes out. If it hadn’t been for a good guy with his own gun, more people at In-N-Out or the shopping center area would’ve been in harms way. That’s just a plain cold fact. 

One employee of In-N-Out was killed by the shooter. CEO Lynsi Snyder posted the following statement.

The Twin Falls PD has provided several updates this afternoon. The shooter has been identified but the motive is unknown at this time. 

The Twin Falls Police Department is providing verified information and resources following Saturday’s shooting at In-N-Out Burger, urging the public not to share unconfirmed claims online as the investigation continues.

Police identified the suspect as 24-year-old Chad Williams, who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Three victims were killed, and seven were injured, police said. Two injured victims have been treated and released, three are in stable condition and two remain in critical condition.

Again, it is an absolute miracle that more weren’t injured or killed during this shooting. That miracle was a well-trained good guy with a gun. 

Because he fired at the shooter, who likely wasn’t expecting that, he was able to stop the shooter from firing upon anyone else. 

The police have also provided the information that it was an armed citizen, Jordan Salinas, who was able to engage with the shooter and put a stop to his plan to continue shooting innocent people.

This is why we have the Second Amendment. This is why preparation and training, GOOD training matters. If it weren’t for a good guy with a gun, the outcome of the shooting at In-N-Out in Twin Falls, Idaho could’ve been so much worse.
