Ah, California! So busy trying to keep all manner of criminals out of prison or jail when the victims are human. Yet still finding time to outlaw any item that assaults Mother Gaia. Like plastic straws.
The city of Santa Barbara has passed an ordinance that will allow restaurant employees to be punished with up to six months of jail time or a $1,000 fine for giving plastic straws to their customers.
Isn’t that special?
