In spite of everything the US and others have thrown at them, ISIS is still on the move. Like it or not, that JV team turned Pro is very much a threat to us all.
CIA Director John Brennan made it pretty clear. Nothing the US or anyone else has thrown at ISIS has blunted their forward momentum. In fact, they’ve adapted and changed their tactics. ISIS is now a larger organization than Al-Quaeda. They are tech savvy and are using that expertise across all social media to inspire and encourage guerrilla warfare via individuals or “lone wolf” attacks.
“ISIL has a large cadre of Western fighters who could potentially serve as operatives for attacks in the West,” said Brennan in prepared remarks, using another acronym for the group commonly known as ISIS. “And the group is probably exploring a variety of means for infiltrating operatives into the West, including refugee flows, smuggling routes, and legitimate methods of travel.”
The ability to run counter cyber warfare against the terrorist organization is something we’re behind on, he said. I happen to agree with that.
But wait! Isn’t ISIS going broke now that several of their leaders have been killed? Nope, not so much. They may not be raking in the $100 million per month, but they are still raking in tens of millions due, in large part, to black market sales and taxation of crude oil in Iraq and Syria.
As Brennan stated yesterday, investigators haven’t found a DIRECT connection between the Orlando terrorist and ISIS. However, let me remind you that Brennan also emphasized that there doesn’t have to BE a direct connection between them given ISIS dangerously savvy global outreach work specifically designed to encourage attacks such as what happened in Paris, San Bernardino, and Orlando. And it worked with the Orlando terrorist.
The gunman who committed the massacre at a popular gay nightclub in Orlando used multiple Facebook accounts to write posts and make searches about the Islamic State. “Now taste the Islamic state vengeance,” he declared, denouncing “the filthy ways of the west.” He even searched for references to the massacre while he was carrying it out, a United States senator said.
Given all of that information, its mind-boggling and infuriating to this writer that the President stood yesterday IN Orlando and lectured us all on …. Gun Control.
Yes, he most certainly did. 49 families are grieving and still in shock, ISIS is celebrating, more information is coming to light about how extreme the Orlando terrorist was, and reality is not Obama’s strong suit.
Instead President Obtuse decides, AT A MEMORIAL that its time for a lecture.
Never let a crisis go to waste. Even at a f**king memorial.

According to Obama, we are dealing with disturbed individuals. Sure, the shooters for Sandy Hook and Aurora CO were mentally disturbed. But Nidal Hassan wasn’t. Nor was the shooter in Chattanooga, TN. And neither was the Orlando shooter.
On the same day that CIA Director John Brennan gives the US an “F” on efforts to destroy ISIS, the President willfully ignores the reality of who and what the Orlando terrorist was.
No way. No way he said that.

Yes, yes he did. Never mind the fact that its now verified that he posted his motivations all over multiple Facebook accounts.
Are you kidding me? Obama just said that? Did this guy need Macy's Parade float with a neon ISIS on it? https://t.co/M8y3p3Vcug

Probably, but the only way he’d pay attention is if that float was parked smack dab in the middle of the 18th green.
Our hearts go out to the families and friends of those whose lives were cut short by a terrorist. There is nothing we can do to take away the pain. But what we as a country can and should do is step up to reality. Terrorism is real. ISIS is real and they are pros at what they do. The threat of lone wolf or small group guerrilla attacks is very real. As much as we’d like to, we need to be aware, we need to be realistic, and when we have to, we need to take the gloves off and Fight Back.
Americans received mixed messages yesterday from President Obama and CIA Director John Brennan. Whose should we believe? For me, I’ll go with Brennan rather than our head-in-the-sand golfing President who can’t even bring himself to use the words Radical Islam, terrorist, or terrorism.
