Ilhan Omar IS Under Investigation For Marriage And Immigration Fraud

It’s been confirmed by Border Czar Tom Homan that there is an on-going investigation into Ilhan Omar’s marriage to her brother, and the real possibility that immigration fraud is part of it.

White House border czar Tom Homan confirmed on “The Sunday Briefing” that the Department of Homeland Security is looking into allegations involving Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., but would not disclose details about what he described as an “ongoing criminal investigation.”

Pressed on whether the federal government has evidence that Omar committed immigration or naturalization fraud, Homan declined to comment.

“I know things are going on, but I can’t give specifics of what’s happening,” Homan said.

“If someone committed an immigration violation, if someone committed marriage fraud or anything like that, regardless if they’re a congressman or not, no one’s above the law. So, I’ll leave it at that. We’ll let HSI, Homeland Security Investigations, continue the investigation.”

When subsequently asked directly whether he was confirming an investigation involving Omar, Homan replied, “I’m confirming that ICE is, yeah — look, I said months ago that there’s something that’s been reported and needs to be looked at.”

The reports of this fraud has been circulating for years. In fact, they started during Ilhan’s first Congressional campaign. Her standard response has been to flatly proclaim this is all lies. One thing she has never done is produce birth certificates for her “husband,” nor the marriage license to clear all of this up.

The central allegation concerns Omar’s 2009 marriage to British citizen Ahmed Nur Said Elmi.

Critics have claimed for years that Elmi was actually Omar’s biological brother and that the marriage was entered into for immigration-related purposes. Under that theory, the marriage would have constituted immigration fraud.

The accusation gained national attention in 2019 after then-President Donald Trump and several conservative organizations called for further investigation. At the center of the dispute are questions about family relationships, immigration records, and inconsistencies that critics say appear in public documents.

No evidence has been produced to substantiate the claims. The couple divorced in 2017.

Powerline’s Scott Johnson has been tracking all of this for the last ten years. And, as he reports this morning, it seems the investigation is covering all the bases. Including some curious information regarding Ilhan’s father.

Some of the issues raised by the agents related to Omar’s late father. He represents a part of her case that I have not explored or written about. He held himself out as a trainer of teachers. In her memoir, as I recall, Omar herself omits any details of his military career.

I helped the agents arrange a meeting with another witness whom they were interested in interviewing. On April 3, I got a call from the lead agent asking me to help put him in contact with another witness, which I did. That witness had a piece of evidence relating to Omar’s father that the agent wanted. I believe the investigation in which I was interviewed is the one that lies behind Secretary Mullin’s comment last week.

Keep in mind, the Minnesota media who has been running away from the story from the very start, with national outlets following suit. Or, as you see with Newsweek above, it’s the right wing critics who are to blame for hounding poor Ilhan.

The same Ilhan, who claims it was just “all about the Benjamins,” “some people did something on 9/11,” and then chose to say nothing on the 25th Anniversary of 9/11.

There is that. Especially since Ilhan is also on record multiple times claiming that the United States is hideous and has treated her horribly.

Isn’t she just the nicest most ungrateful immigrant ever?

Several people are wish casting that Ilhan will be arrested and face deportation. I hate to say it, but I don’t think it will happen. She has too many friends across the Democrat establishment. If she did commit marriage fraud, will the judicial system have the spine to sentence her to 5 years in prison and slap a $250,000 fine on her? Have you met the judicial system these days??

Ilhan Omar may have committed marriage fraud. However, it’s also possible this investigation could uncover additional issues. Such as Ilhan’s purported involvement in the Feeding Our Future fraud blanketing Minnesota.
