The question has been asked. Are those involved with the DSA socialists or deadbeat scammers?

As we know, many of the DSA socialists are theatre kids cosplaying as politicians. Ones who have their hands out and want everyone else to fork over their hard-earned money. Zohran Mamdani is a case in point. He’s demanding the rich pay more than their fair share. Zohran and his DSA pals want the money, yet don’t want to work for it. That’s a pretty good definition of a deadbeat. 

Let’s return again to NYC’s DSA Chair Gustavo Gordillo. As we’ve told you, he hasn’t held a job as an electrician, even though he claims to be one. One key reason is that he was FIRED from his job due to non-performance and not even showing up. Kind of difficult to claim you are an electrician, a union one at that, when you can’t even make it through the first six months of your journeyman training. 

Gordillo doesn’t have a job, so his parents (who evidently escaped Peru because of the influx of capitalism there) have been footing all of his bills for years now. Gordillo and his brother are now living in a million dollar row home in the Brooklyn area. 

It turns out there are additional issues with Gordillo’s “free” housing. 

The local community board in Bed-Stuy slammed the plans for an expansive renovation of the historic $1.5 million house that Gordillo’s parents bought for the NYC Democratic Socialists of America leader — but the project ended up getting the green light anyway.

The community board said the upgrades on the 1901-built home were “not in alignment” with the historically black neighborhood, which has been taken over by hordes of gentrifying lefties.

One commissioner with the Landmarks Preservation Commission said during a hearing he thought the house is going to look more like a “Hampton’s beach house” than a Bedford-Stuyvesant row house.

“The proposed building alteration will significantly impact the district’s form and character and is not in alignment with the nearby row houses. Therefore, Brooklyn Community Board 3 resolves to not support the proposed extension to the existing building,” Evelyn Collier, chair of Board 3’s landmarks committee, said during an April 25, 2023, LPC hearing.

Oh, but that’s not all. You see, even as the DSA chapter in New York City positions itself as the champions for unions, that doesn’t mean union workers are hired. 

Gordillo isn’t using union workers for the renovations on the $1.5 million home his parents bought. 

Working-class cosplaying Democratic Socialists of America leader Gustavo Gordillo hasn’t used a single union worker for renovations on his $1.5 million nepo-home in Brooklyn — as the city issued a stop-work order Friday on the project, The Post has learned.

A city Department of Buildings inspector slapped the order — which dinged Gordillo for not getting proper permits for interior and facade work — on the two-story, nearly 2,000-square-foot Bed-Stuy home’s door.

Who decides to do renovations on a home yet doesn’t even take the time to apply for the proper permits? Deadbeats. 

Gordillo isn’t the only one. There are quite number of socialists in politics who have been living off their parents (Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson), or have bragged about their refusal to pay rent. All whom meet the various definitions of a socialist deadbeat. 

And of course equally-privileged Morris Katz, the lefty-loving campaign consultant for Mayor Zohran Mamdani and former Maine candidate Graham Platner, also reportedly stiffed his landlord of $14,000 as he left the Williamsburg pad unit stuffed with trash when he vacated.

Some in the media, hello New York Times, have been ignoring the reality behind these socialist deadbeats. Until suddenly, reality bites. 

Could be worse. At least the DSA staffer didn't take a rent-stabilized home.

I’d say that’s the definition of a socialist deadbeat. 

Here’s something else. Is Gordillo actually getting the $95K salary he demanded from the DSA chapter? It seems that little perk hasn’t been approved yet.

Interesting that. This is also a guy who, along with his fellow socialist theatre kids, are demanding that our Constitutional form of government be kicked to the curb. 

You don’t have to look very hard at any person affiliated with DSA chapters across the country to find out that the grift and double standards is a feature with them. 

“The Democratic Socialists of America have become the Double Standards of America — demanding transparency, fairness, and accountability from everyone else while ignoring serious questions about one of their own,” said McCall, a Brooklyn pastor who also assists tenants in New York City Housing Authority complexes.

“The allegations surrounding NYC chapter co-chair Gustavo Gordillo raise troubling questions about whether he misled working-class New Yorkers about where he lived, how he obtained housing, and his labor credentials. DSA leaders and elected officials must answer these questions publicly and call for Gordillo’s resignation.”

The answer is YES. Socialists are deadbeats. They demand other people’s money to fund their lives. They expect to be handed everything and never have to work for it. That’s the very definition of both socialism and deadbeat.
