Happy Sunday, dear friends! How is August treating you all? Hot and humid and trying to get kids ready for back-to-school. Though, I have lots of thoughts on the state of many public schools these days, I’ll defer sharing them right now least language curdles the cream for your coffee. It’s been quite the week … from the alarming to soap opera. So fill up your plates while I pass the bubbly and let’s get to it! L’Chaim!

Boston Mayor Wu is out to punish private property owners because Wu puts illegal alien criminals first.
The federal immigration enforcement agency recently posted about its search for property owners across the country “capable of providing surface and/or structured vehicle parking spaces in the vicinity of existing or planned ICE facilities,” according to the Boston Herald. In Boston, ICE is looking for 249 contiguous parking spaces.
In an interview Sunday, Wu said her office will file public records requests to see which private property owners have expressed interest in leasing to ICE, in hopes of contacting them.
“We as a city will be filing another FOIA request for any responses that have come in from the Boston area so that we know what information they may be sifting through,” Wu said. “We strongly oppose any expansion of their efforts here and would encourage and will be reaching out to property owners to try to make sure that they’re not adding to a surge of unlawful and dangerous activity.”
From Mamdani’s outrageous “enemies list” of a million NYC private property owners to Wu’s threat to lean on Bostonians who don’t follow her neo-Confederate beliefs, how can anyone say Democrats are the party of “the people” with a straight face?
Ok. Ok. I agree — only if that face is wearing a septum ring.
