Mimosa, Bloody Mary, nice flute of champagne — or maybe a favorite tipple in your coffee. Make yourself one and join me at our own Algonquin Round Table, the spirit of Dorothy Parker abides.
Happy Sunday, dear friends! Grab a seat, I’m back from a wonderful vacation and ready to chew the fat a pile of crispy bacon with you. First things first, my thanks and brava! to my VG sisters, Toni and Deanna, for stepping in to be your hostesses for our Sunday brunch. I’ve heard how much fun you had along with wonderful noshes all around. And while I was on vacation it looks like the usual portside hive of scum and villainy did not rest. So let me pass out some chilled flutes full of our favorite bubbly and plates so you can fall into the feast at hand, and let’s get to it! L’Chaim!

… That would be the ostensible milquetoast moderate and ‘pastor’, Jimmy Talarico.
In one four-minute, off-the-cuff answer, Talarico managed to advocate for or say all of the following:
– Reparations are part of his faith tradition.
– Race-based tuition relief.
– Race-based homeownership grants.
– Race-based baby bonds.
– Slavery still defines modern Texas.

This is who the commie Democrat machine will cheat into the governor’s office in November.
The next Governor of CA just told everyone to avoid CA Mexican restaurants like Tito’s Tacos and Don Antonio’s and instead go to an illegal street vendor who doesn’t pay taxes nor follow any health codes. And he thought “yeah let’s post that on main”.
CA is so screwed. https://t.co/sfQGgVlyDl— Spencer Pratt (@spencerpratt) July 21, 2026
One of my fave Mexican restaurants in SoCal is a multi-generational, family run El Cholo, open since 1923. And friends, the best margaritas I’ve ever had! YUMMM! Someone fetch me a blender, please.

*OUTRAGEOUS: The Theater Sign That Somehow Made The Odyssey About Jews — Opinion*
It seems that antisemitism is rearing its ugly head everywhere you look, popping up, for example, at a theater sign in Oregon promoting The Odyssey, a film released Friday based on the Greek poet… pic.twitter.com/zbQASuSxkT

What Bizzaro planet created the people who thought this a great marquee promo?
Tthis story got little traction in the media and none of the film’s stars chose to comment on the matter. And, naturally, the theater owners have kept quiet about the matter rather than issuing a hostage-style apology.
Why?
Could it be that antisemitism is now mainstream, and no actor feels the need to speak out about it? Remember how Hollywood rallied around stars canceled for being pro-Israel or simply being Jewish, like singer Matisyahu, author Brett Gelman and Michael Rapaport?
Oh, wait. That never happened.
Anti-Semites are never far away and now feel free to let their “dEStrOy tHe JOOOOS” freakflag fly.

Not to mention President Trump JUST disclosed Chinese election interference…
Seems like a good time to remind everyone Congress is working a back room deal to allow Chinese driverless vehicles unfettered access to surveil our country. No thanks. https://t.co/uPQ1B0gKsh

The killing is likely to become another flashpoint with critics who claim criminal justice reforms have made it too difficult to keep potentially dangerous defendants behind bars before they commit another offense.
Ya think?
Either the government will live up to its first priority — the protection of law-abiding citizens — or the rise of vigilantism is inevitable. Things are going to get a lot messier.

Women’s sports are not a Plan B for mediocre male athletes nor girls’ locker rooms a hangout spot for male perverts.
Caution didn't win women the vote, or equal pay, or fair sport, or the right to single-sex spaces. Sophie Cunningham is standing up for women and girls everywhere and it's glorious. Fuck caution. https://t.co/uBBWYAxXZw

Eons ago, I carried Thomas Bros maps in my car. Might be a good idea to get one and stash it in the trunk. Couldn’t hurt, right?

Get out your hankies …
Yorktown, New York — For 10 years, Rishi Sharma has crisscrossed the country on a mission to preserve history, interviewing more than 3,000 World War II combat veterans, and he’s not done yet.
“For the last 10 years, I’ve been on the mission to interview every single World War II combat veteran,” the 28-year-old said. “And I’ve quite honestly spent every single day of the last 10 years doing that.”
