New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani will not be participating in the 62nd Annual Israel Day Parade on Fifth Avenue tomorrow. That’s both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because I doubt many New Yorkers wish him to be there. Especially not with his wife. A curse because there was a time that politicians showed up to the opening of a mailbox.
Back in the day, politicians, like the mayor, never got political about things like parades, block parties and the like. The politicians would be there no matter if they had to crawl.
.@NYCMayor is the first NYC mayor to not attend the upcoming Israel Day Parade. In 62 years! The anti-Semitism coming out of that guy and NYC is unacceptable.

Reading between the slurs, Zohran Mamdani is an (allegedly) anti-Semite. Check this out from Fox News:
New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani won’t be attending the city’s annual Israel Day Parade on Sunday, a break from decades-long tradition, despite attending other events celebrating the city’s diverse cultural landscape.
Since 1964, every mayor in the city has attended the Jewish celebration, which comes amid record levels of antisemitism and weeks of anti-Israel demonstrations outside synagogues and Jewish communal institutions across New York.
Despite his absence, the mayor pledged to provide security and the necessary permits for the safety of those who will be participating.
It’s kind of old Zohran to provide permits and security. He is such a pissant. He won’t just come out and say what he means. Check this out:
Mamdani indicated that he would not attend as a matter of political principle. He has voiced frequent criticism of Israel following the Hamas Oct. 7, 2023, attack on the Jewish state and, upon taking office in January, scrapped an order that barred city agencies from participating in the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel.
“I look forward to joining and hosting many community events celebrating Jewish life in New York and the rich Jewish history and culture of our city,” Mamdani’s spokesman told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.
“While I will not be attending the Israel Day Parade, my lack of attendance should not be mistaken for a refusal to provide security or the necessary permits for its safety,” the statement continued. “I’ve been very clear: I believe in equal rights for all people everywhere. That principle guides me consistently.”
Doesn’t that last part just make your little pea-picking heart go pitter-pat.
“I’ve been very clear: I believe in equal rights for all people everywhere. That principle guides me consistently.”
Be still my heart. This is only 39 seconds, but so many weasel-like comments.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani defends his decision to skip the Israel Day Parade, making him the first New York City mayor to bypass the historic event since 1964.

Zohran Mamdani shouldn’t manage a Baskin-Robbins 31 Flavors Ice Cream Shoppe, let alone New York City. Mamdani was shouting about Israel both before AND the October 7 Massacre committed by Hamas and the Palestinians.
This is:
On September 22, 2023—just two weeks before Hamas attacked Israel—Zohran Mamdani was on the streets shouting about Israel.
Immediately after the October 7 attack, Mamdani was again on the streets shouting about Israel.

He loves the Jews, right? The Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch will not only participate but be the Grand Marshal:
The New York Post shared an article that had Jewish leaders voicing their skepticism:
But some members of the Jewish community weren’t convinced by Mamdani’s reason for ditching the event — pointing out it is a celebration of religious identity and comes at a time when antisemitism continues to roil the city.
“It’s not a policy parade. It’s a Jewish people parade,” Rabbi Joseph Potasnik, executive director of the New York Board of Rabbis, told The Post.
“He can march in the parade and have a different point of view [and] show respect for the Jewish people.”
Rabbi Marc Schneier, president of the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding, had a blunt message for the Democratic Socialists of America darling in a Daily News op-ed earlier this week.
“The mayor was elected to lead all of us. He has decided that some of us are not worth his time. That is his right. It is also our right to remember it.”
Are you surprised that a Democratic Socialist doesn’t support a Jewish state or Jewish people? I think it is expected.
If you are near to Fifth Avenue tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. go support our fine Jewish American brothers and sisters.
