This was an avoidable tragedy. An ICE agent had a split second to determine if he was going to be hit or defend himself. A woman is now dead. Minneapolis is in an uproar. And Democrats are stirring the pot.
On Wednesday, a protest against ICE in Minneapolis became the scene of an officer-involved shooting, when a woman who was in the “lead car” at the protest did not listen to law enforcement instructions, and either intentionally or unintentionally hit an ICE agent with her Honda Pilot. That agent opened fire, killing the driver, who has now been identified as 37 year old Renee Nicole Good (formerly Macklin). Good was apparently originally from Colorado, where she was married and had one son. Her husband is now deceased, and she moved to Missouri. She was then involved with a woman who referred to Good as “her wife” and they were in Minneapolis, along with Good’s son. The move to Minneapolis was apparently recent, and this woman was also involved at the scene of the protest.
A blood-covered woman who identified herself as the wife of Renee Nicole Good hysterically blamed herself for her partner’s killing at the hands of ICE agents, gut-wrenching footage shows.
The woman was filmed distraught and sobbing just steps from Good’s wrecked car in Minneapolis Wednesday morning, as a neighbor who heard the commotion asked her what happened.
“I made her come down here, it’s my fault,” the woman said through sobs. “They just shot my wife.”
“They shot her in the head. I have a 6-year-old in school,” she appeared to say.
Video shows the woman who said she was Good’s wife filming the ICE protest, and witnesses confirmed that Good was the lead car at this protest.
There were many, many videos of the protest, the car, and the shooting circulating on social media almost immediately after it happened. It seems pretty clear that the ICE agent acted in defense of his own life.

And even media was admitting that yes, Good hit the agent with her car, and at that point, he had the right to use lethal force.
The bottom line is that this shooting was avoidable, because Renee Nicole Good should have complied with law enforcement. But don’t tell Democrats that. They are out to make political hay out of what happened in Minneapolis, and they don’t care what happens next. The Democrats are out to change the narrative from the massive fraud investigation, and state leaders – along with national Democrats – are calling an audible to make a gigantic PIVOT! turn.
Mayor Jacob Frey, who presided over Minneapolis the last time it burned, ran to the cameras first.
“Get the f— out of Minneapolis,” he said during a news conference. “We do not want you here. Your stated reason for being in this city is to create some kind of safety, and you are doing exactly the opposite. People are being hurt, families are being ripped apart.” Frey also called the DHS statement that the shooting happened in self-defense “garbage.”
Governor Tim Walz, who had to drop his reelection bid just this week, poured fuel on the flames by suggesting that what had happened was an impending civil war.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said Wednesday the state’s National Guard was prepared to deploy if necessary following the fatal shooting of a woman during a federal immigration enforcement operation, saying, “We’ve never been at war with our federal government.”
During a news conference, Walz said he issued a warning order to the Guard, meaning an initial step to increase preparations should troops be needed amid heightened tensions after Wednesday’s shooting.
“We are preparing the National Guard,” he said. “They are prepared to be deployed if necessary.”

Zohran Mamdani decided to chime in, because why? Because he thinks he’s important, that’s why.
This morning, an ICE agent murdered a woman in Minneapolis—only the latest horror in a year full of cruelty.
As ICE attacks our neighbors across America, it is an attack on us all. New York stands with immigrants today, and every day that follows.
— Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani (@NYCMayor) January 7, 2026
AOC claimed it was “murder” and said she wants the ICE agent prosecuted.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., called the fatal shooting Wednesday in Minneapolis a “murder,” while calling for the ICE agent involved in the incident to be arrested.
“This has now turned into what our greatest fear is and has been for a long time around ICE – that this will be used as an anti-civilian force, that it has no accountability,” she told reporters. “At the end of the day, what we saw today is a murder. And murders in cold blood need to be prosecuted.”
Ocasio-Cortez said the incident was the “manifestation of every American’s worst nightmare,” which she described as “their government turning into a tyranny.”
And in automatic response to these inflammatory comments, the protests began. Social media began calling for riots. A downtown Minneapolis federal building had glass doors smashed. All the usual suspects rallied for the omnicause.
At 1:24 p.m., the National Alliance against Racist and Political Repression, a fixture in left-wing protests, announced an “emergency rally” in New York City’s Foley Square for Thursday. The rally was also promoted by a group dubbing itself “NYC ICE Watch.”
Indivisible, the Democratic Party-aligned nonprofit and PAC that was at the forefront of protests against Tesla and the Trump administration, shared a picture on Instagram of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, whose agency oversees ICE, with two Xs over eyes, a symbol often used to portray someone as dead.
“Kristi Noem get the f*ck out of NYC right now,” the post read in both English and Spanish. The post was shared by 50501, a newly established organization that played a lead role in the #NoKings protest against President Trump.
“EMERGENCY ALERT. THIS IS AN ALL HANDS ON DECK MOMENT!” wrote 50551 on Instagram at 11:50 a.m.
Indivisible’s post echoed the language of Frey, who had moments earlier called on ICE to “get the f— out of Minneapolis.”
At 2:44 p.m., Refuse Fascism, a socialist organization active in protests against Israel and the Trump administration, posted a message on Instagram decrying the incident.
“From Venezuela to the streets of Minneapolis, the trump [sic] regime murders and demonizes whole peoples and countries without any pretense of the rule of law,” the group wrote.
At 3:33 p.m., the Party for Socialism and Liberation’s Columbus, Ohio, called for an “emergency protest from Columbus to Minneapolis.”
“ICE out! ICE has murdered a legal observer in Minneapolis,” the Instagram post read. “We fight back!”
At 3:06 p.m., the Palestinian Youth Movement, which organized campus protests following the Oct. 7 massacre of Israelis by Hamas, weighed in.
“The time is rise and resist is now (sic),” the group posted on Instagram.
And to top it all off, Minneapolis decided to cancel school for the next two days. Why? SAFETY.
When law enforcement defends itself from being murdered and your city has to cancel school because of fear the illegal alien activist left will riot in anger over law enforcement not being dead. https://t.co/Tt4sX70Wyi

Why, it’s as if they are hoping and depending on there being some full-scale riots!
Minneapolis (Jan. 7) — A large crowd of leftists, communists, open-border radicals and Democrats are marching to condemn ICE after an agent shot dead a rioter who accelerated her SUV toward him. These are the same people who supported the deadly 2020 riots.pic.twitter.com/rNdAWJCnek

After all, if there are actual riots, then the narrative is different. Minneapolis, and Minnesota at large, will point at ICE being big bad meanies and attempt to duck and dodge the continuing investigations into widespread fraud. The Democrats are desperate to change the narrative to avoid being held accountable for that fraud – to the point where they see no problem using inflammatory rhetoric to stir up the activist mobs and shut down schools in the process, just to prove that they have control. Good thing there are so many empty daycares in Minneapolis where the kids can go today and Friday, right???

These creatures aren’t going to riot over a dead white woman.
She disobeyed a lawful order with an officer in direct contact with her car reaching in the window then drove forward bumping the officer as she did so. She was stupid.
Trying to change the narrative so the facts are covered up and a hysterical crowd is induced to riot?
Sounds like Michael Brown and George Floyd all over again.
The lady killed was probably a decent person caught up in the lefts fantasy’s and outright lies about America and Americans. The Democrats rally their protected groups to increase political power even if that means the mother of 6 year old dies on a street because of those lies.
Democrats are not decent people. They are bad people. Because only bad people would vote for evil people…
There was one killing by a law enforcement officer who the Left hailed as a “hero.” One where he was in absolutely no danger from his victim.
He’s been promoted to Captain after being pardoned by the autopen, and he and his wife have made $190 MILLION “running” a daycare out of their home over the last 17yrs…. I need me a side gig like that..
Sorry, here’s the link to that story..

Before Tampon Tim goes too far with his Jefferson Davis schtick, he might want to think a bit more about the implications of declaring war on the national government.
Whatever his failings (and treason is a big one), Walz isn’t in the same league as Jefferson Davis. Davis, a West Point graduate, was a brave and distinguished Officer in the Mexican- American War, a successful businessman (although that is tarnished by slavery, but many Plantation owners ran their families and businesses into poverty), and an effective Senator and Secretary of War. You don’t have to admire what he stood for to respect him. What has Walz actually accomplished?
The more accurate comparison is Ark.Gov. Orval Faubus. Faubus’s record had only two accomplishments of note. First, starting as a poor rural school teacher, he was elected Ark. Gov. for 12 years at a salary of $10,000 per year and left office as a $Multi-Millionaire. He, ahhh, “invested wisely”.
The other thing was to call out the Ark. Army National Guard to prevent the integration of Central High School in Little Rock, Ark. Note that in Little Rock there were several high schools, and all but Central were fully integrated. President Eisenhower, a retired 5-Star, who knew how the National Guards worked, immediately federalized them and ordered the Soldiers to assist the U.S. Marshals. Faubus probably knew that would happen. I wonder if Governor “Sometimes I’m A Knucklehead” is smart enough to understand that.
