Trump Calls Out “Little Turban” Ilhan Omar During Economic Speech

I have to say, I’m quite enjoying President Trump’s new nickname for Ilhan Omar. “Little turban” just cracks me up. He spoke about her during his economic speech in Pennsylvania last night. The New York Times is aghast.

Trump just issued his latest xenophobic tirade against Somali immigrants. He singled out Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota with an Islamophobic remark about her hijab, which he referred to as “a little turban.” He again called for her to be deported, and the crowd responded by chanting, “Send her back.”

“She comes in, does nothing but bitch,” Trump said. “She is always complaining. She comes from her country where, I mean it’s considered about the worst country in the world.”

In Minnesota, Somali Americans have been in fear since President Trump called them “garbage.” ICE raids across the state have led to over a dozen arrests, prompting many to carry their U.S. passports to protect against wrongful arrests.

You know what? There’s a pretty significant number of Somalis in Minnesota who SHOULD be worried about this Trump Administration upholding the law. Multiple laws in fact. Not only concerning illegal immigration, but monetary theft as well.

As we’ve told you before, the fraud in Minnesota is absolutely mind-boggling. And many of those committing fraud and stealing OUR money are Somali.

In terms of our economy, when money is stolen, everyone loses. Currently we are talking well over a billion in fraud uncovered thus far.

President Trump is right to call out “Little Turban” Ilhan Omar on this.

She’s done nothing but bitch since she attained office. Yet, when confronted with the massive grift among her constituency, she either goes radio silent or spins it into blaming Trump for all the things.

On Tuesday, President Trump called my friends and me “garbage.”

This comment was only the latest in a series of remarks and Truth Social posts in which the president has demonized and spread conspiracy theories about the Somali community and about me personally. For years, the president has spewed hate speech in an effort to gin up contempt against me. He reaches for the same playbook of racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia and division again and again. At one 2019 rally, he egged on his crowd until it chanted “send her back” when he said my name.

Mr. Trump denigrates not only Somalis but so many other immigrants, too, particularly those who are Black and Muslim. While he has consistently tried to vilify newcomers, we will not let him silence us. He fails to realize how deeply Somali Americans love this country. We are doctors, teachers, police officers and elected leaders working to make our country better. Over 90 percent of Somalis living in my home state, Minnesota, are American citizens by birth or naturalization. Some even supported Mr. Trump at the ballot box.

You know as well as I do that those whom President Trump is calling “garbage” are the ones who’ve engaged in millions to billions of dollars of fraud in Minnesota, Maine, and likely many other states.

Not only that, but those “newcomers” she speaks of aren’t here legally. Nice phrasing there.

“Little Turban” Ilhan does NOT want to address that. Instead she reverts to her own name calling and essentially calls President Trump a Nazi.

If you watched it all, you’d notice everyone else is to blame for all this fraud. No one in her district or state is to blame. It’s all ‘everyone else’s fault.’

Except, as Bill Glahn points out on Powerline blog, she KNEW. They ALL KNEW.

Despite fraud concerns, MN won’t limit free summer meals for kids

Assistant Commissioner Daron Korte said Friday that the department wanted to “ensure the integrity of the program.”

There are a lot of nonprofits reporting large numbers of meals served, he said, which has created a fraud risk. During a pandemic, the department lacks “the ability as an organization to verify all of those meal claims,” he said.

The Food Research and Action Center said in an email to Rep. Ilhan Omar’s office that Minnesota was the only state they were aware of that was going to limit summer meals in that way.

Omar did not take a position on the issue, a spokesman said.

There will be a lot of people clutching pearls today and over the next few days because of President Trump’s “Little Turban” dig at Ilhan Omar.

What they want us all to ignore is Ilhan’s knowledge of and proximity to the massive fraud in Minnesota perpetrated by quite a number of her constituents. Some whom she has personal knowledge of.
