Elon Musk joined Donald Trump in the Oval Office to talk DOGE and corruption and fraud while the media fact-checked yesterday afternoon.
Musk, with son X in tow, argued for more cuts in federal spending at government agencies to benefit taxpayers, stating the U.S. should not be run by a bureaucracy. President Trump gave Musk another mandate to keep only “essential” employees and eliminate unneeded agencies altogether.
If the people cannot vote and have their will be decided by their elected representatives in the form of the president and the Senate and the House, then we don’t live in a Democracy. We live in a bureaucracy.
We do find it sort of rather odd that there are quite a few people in the bureaucracy who have, ostensibly a salary of a few hundred thousand dollars but somehow managed to accrue tens of millions of dollars in net worth while they are in that position.” ”-Elon Musk

Curious, isn’t it?
But, there’s “no proof”, according to our friends at The New York Times. The above claim has no “evidence”. Other claims with “no evidence”, according to the NYT? All of those “150 year-old Social Security recipients”.
Just a cursory examination of Social Security, and we got people in there that are 150 years old. Now, do you know anyone 150? I don’t, okay. They should be on the Guinness Book of World Records. They’re missing out.
I think they’re probably dead. That’s my guess. Or they should be very famous. One of the two.”-Elon Musk
Still, journalists are going to journalist:
I really love the desire for so much “transparency” from a group of people who were completely content with shielding Joe Biden and anyone associated with his administration with hard lines of questioning for four whole years.
And, Chris “Don’t be a D*ck” Sununu calls all of this out with Anderson Cooper in this exchange:
Former NH Governor Chris Sununu just completely destroyed Anderson Cooper in a back and forth about Elon Musk and DOGE.
Cooper responded by angrily telling Sununu to not be a "d*ck" on live tv.

But let’s also talk about the poor, Associated Press reporter who was barred from the event in the Oval Office:
As a global news organization, The Associated Press informs billions of people around the world every day with factual, nonpartisan journalism.
Today we were informed by the White House that if AP did not align its editorial standards with President Donald Trump’s executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America, AP would be barred from accessing an event in the Oval Office. This afternoon AP’s reporter was blocked from attending an executive order signing.
It is alarming that the Trump administration would punish AP for its independent journalism. Limiting our access to the Oval Office based on the content of AP’s speech not only severely impedes the public’s access to independent news, it plainly violates the First Amendment. “-Executive Editor Julie Pace
They and their Style Book are soooo important, don’t you know?
Hey AP-too bad y’all weren’t so obsessed with providing the world every day with “factual, non-partisan journalism” on Biden’s dementia. Or “factual, non-partisan journalism” on Hunter Biden’s laptop or his cocaine in The West Wing (AP and other “news” outlets never did provide anything further on Cocaine-gate). Hell, AP and the rest of the mainstream media couldn’t even provide “factual, non-partisan journalism” during a global pandemic.
They are more concerned that Elon Musk and Donald Trump are not producing pages upon pages of “proof” of government waste that has gone unchecked for years?
Musk also stated that about 10,000 individuals (at most) will retire from these agencies this month. Why only 10,000? Because all of calculations are on paper:
Maybe it’s just me, but I think there is room for improvement here https://t.co/gQqx3sAOyZ

In the coming months, we are seeing the operation of the left: these accusations of abuse within our government agencies are false, they will say. To believe either the “convicted felon”, Donald Trump, or Elon Musk is to be stepping directly into the path of “authoritarianism”. No matter what Trump and Musk say is happening within the dark walls of bureaucracy, the “proof” will never be enough. The media, the “journalists”, the collective left, will continue to say these allegations of fraud are baseless. If Musk killed a couple of hundred of trees to produce it all on on paper, they will say these pages were doctored and that Musk hates the very trees chopped down to produce this evidence. They will continue to argue semantics…
The $50 mill for condoms went to Mozambique and not Gaza, Mr. Musk…
I guess she showed him.
But, at the risk of sounding insensitive, Musk had a point. Should we be sending $50 million for condoms to anyone right now? And whose $50 million was it? Who is speaking for our taxpayer dollars? If the bureaucracy asked the American people if we would rather hand over tons of cash in so-called “humanitarian aid” to foreign entities who do God only knows what with it and not see any change within our economy, our city streets and our communities, what would most sensible citizens advocate for? The left harpies may judge others as the weaker-minded, self-centered, nationalistic individuals that we are. How dare we not want to send $50 million to Mozambique when we have our own people dying on the streets of fentanyl addiction!
The argument that those watching DOGE work to expose this fraud are “stepping into straight-up authoritarianism” is whack. “Straight-up authoritarianism” is more likened to the mindless Americans who are totally fine with sending off $50 million dollars for “condoms” and funding foreign sex changes.
The People have questions. They’ve had questions for a long time. Regardless of what one thinks of Elon Musk, there has been more transparency in the last 4 weeks than there ever was between the dark years of Biden’s 2021-2025. One has to think that the individuals making such a big stink about Trump and Musk blowing the lid off the misuse and abuse of taxpayer dollars do not want such things brought into the light. Which also makes us think that this is just the tip of the iceberg.
At this juncture, there is no other option but to slash and go forward.
They are just getting started. I say bring it on.

Normal people live in fear of being audited over the smallest of things. It’s long past time the government feels the same fear.
