Let’s look at Nicole Shanahan, whom Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (RFKJ) has chosen as his running mate.

But we need to continue the political conversation. It never rests. Today, we are going to briefly get in touch with Nicole Shanahan.

What do we know about Nicole Shanahan? Not much. But the following is what you will probably hear a lot in the future – is the rags-to-riches child of the immigrant story.

Raised on welfare in a single-parent household in Oakland, California, the daughter of a Chinese immigrant, Shanahan went from a successful career as a patent lawyer and entrepreneur to marrying into uber-wealth after meeting Google co-founder Sergey Brin at a yoga festival. The two divorced in 2022, amid reports that she had had an affair with Brin’s friend and fellow tech titan, Elon Musk. (Shanahan and Musk deny the allegations.) – Politico

Now, do we even have to worry about this at all? It looks like Kennedy’s path to ballot access will be difficult anyway. But he may have enough to upset the apple cart, so we need to discuss this independent ticket.

We will start with his vice president pick: Nicole Shanahan. I had never heard of her before RFKJ selected her as his running mate, and I think I was like most Americans. But now she’s here, in the spotlight.

Shanahan was the leading donor in RFJK’s famous Super Bowl ad; she donated $4 million to the campaign’s Super Pac American Values. The ad drew displeasure from the Kennedy clan, and RFJK apologized for it.

Before RFJK selected Shanahan, I was worried he would pull voters from the right and ruin Trump’s chances of winning in 2024. But now that he has chosen the festival-going, social justice-loving, self-proclaimed progressive, and junk science fan Nicole Shanahan, I am no longer worried. But Biden should be.

From skimming the internet and reading about her, I have gathered that she likes to throw around the divorce money she received from Google co-founder Sergey Bin. Shanahan has given to Hillary Clinton, Pete Buttigieg, Joe Biden, and Marianne Williamson, to name a few.

Nicole Shanahan is a progressive dream candidate. Donald Trump should send RFK a really nice gift basket, because conservatives who were flirting with the idea of voting for RFK in the hopes that he’d possibly lead from the center will absolutely not vote for him now. RFK is…

All of this is tame so far; really, nothing revelatory. Her stance on In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is interesting. She’s not into IVF so much, but she wants women to be able to have babies well into their 50s and thinks they can sit out in the sunshine to be fertile.

Shanahan has said that having a mental health professional there with George Floyd would have saved his life. She’s against jailing criminals and instead seeks community programs instead of incarcerating lawbreakers.

Another cause close to Nicole’s heart is the environment’s health. You can read the following sentence in a valley girl accent: To feel excited about our prospects on this planet, she wishes to manifest and package a wider carbon drawdown with really fun media.

Nicole Shanahan is sort of currently married to Jacob Strumwasser. They had a love ceremony in May 2023 instead of opting for a traditional wedding, of course. She met Strumwasser at the Burning Man Festival. I see a trend here. She meets her future partners at festivals.

Maybe Shanahan is more suited for an episode or two of Real Housewives of Mogel Techs instead of being Vice President. Then again, we have Kamala, so there is hope for Nicole.
