Put Criminal Gangster, Teflon Donald Trump In Jail Already

As a dark beast that lives in the minds of those who wish him ill, President Donald Trump cycles through his symbolic personas stunningly fast and it all depends on the diagnostician. We have had the carnival barker/conman and the strongman/madman (Hitler), the idiot/feeble minded man and now the criminal gangster/mob boss. You see these non-Jungian archetypes in articles written in mainstream publications and filtered through to general conversations. I am NOT going to say that those who buy into the archetypes have no/little imagination rather I think that they pick them up as a shorthand for what is going on in the media cycle at the moment.

Perpetually aggrieved writer Amanda Marcotte uses the mob boss motif in her latest for Salon “Teflon Don” is a collective fiction — it’s time to t ell the story of Trump in jail“. The original “Teflon Don” has been dead for more than 20 years and for some of you that may be before your time. John Gotti was the Bronx-born Gambino crime family boss. His original nickname was “Dapper Don” because he dressed like a boss (pun intended) and a Don is a crime boss. Later the nickname changed to “Teflon Don” because none of the criminal charges ever stuck to him. They were adjudicated in the court system. Gotti died in prison after Sammy Gravano sang for the feds.

Amanda Marcotte truly believes this story in her head. Her sub-lede for this article is “Trump still believes he’s untouchable, and so do his dangerous followers. It’s time for consequences that count.” Belay those pesky civil rights. Fie on The Constitution. It’s time for consequences that count. Who’s the mob boss? From the article:

As soon as the magistrate judge in Washington warned Donald Trump that it was a crime to “influence a juror or try to threaten or bribe a witness or retaliate against anyone” related to his federal indictment for attempting to overturn the 2020 election, you could feel it coming: Trump would immediately flout the order his lawyers had agreed to in court. Sure enough, it took less than 24 hours for the 78-times-indicted former host of “The Apprentice” to issue all-caps challenges to the judge’s authority on Truth Social. “IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!” he posted in his usual understated manner.

Prosecutors promptly bundled up the threat into a request for a protective order. That was largely granted by U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan, who warned Trump, “I will take whatever measures are necessary to safeguard the integrity of these proceedings.” Now, of course, Trump sees that warning as a dare. Except for a brief campaign visit to Iowa, he spent most of last weekend doing what he loves best: Delivering unhinged rants on social media attacking the judge, the prosecutors and, in a direct violation of the order, potential witnesses he called out by name.

Stop the presses. Trump has been indicted 78 times!! Oh noes! I need more exclamation points! Wait! Does this mean I am a mob boss? I have told people that if they come after me, I will come after them. Hey, I’m a Girl Boss. Gee willikers, fancy that. And, I threaten double that for anyone who comes after those that I love. Have I been wrong all my life?

Seventy-eight indictments! Marcotte wants him in jail. I wonder why that’s all they have after nine years! Nine years of daily colonoscopies and this is what they have on Trump? Thousands of people have invested their lives in finding criminal activities involving Trump and his family. Come on, man.

Is Trump a “Teflon Don”? No, the people that go after him do not assume room temperature unlike some other politicians we know. Did he know John Gotti who was older than he was? I have gotten mixed answers on that. They both lived him Jamaica, Queens, New York. That explains the accent. Y’all know people judge you on your accent, bless their pea-picking hearts. Donald Trump must be a criminal, because he sounds like a stereotypical mob boss. Donald Trump worked in New York where one must grease the hands of the unions and some criminal families in order to get things done:

And this from Zeek Arkham:

Amanda really hates those of us who still prefer Trump to other candidates. We are swine:

Most importantly, making Trump shut up is crucial to public safety. One of the most dangerous aspects of Trump’s seeming invulnerability is that some of his followers start to believe they’re immune to all consequences themselves. Most of the Jan. 6 insurrectionists weren’t concerned with the cameras all around them, and many of them posted photos and videos of their escapades that day on social media. Trump’s years of breaking the law with zero consequences had lulled them into thinking that they also were free to run buck-wild without fear of prison.

The January 6 Political Prisoners would beg to differ. The people who never went into the Capitol building, or who went in and wandered around, and are still held without bond would beg to differ.

The real criminal types in this country walk around free and commit all kinds of crimes. Donald Trump is only a criminal in the minds of those who are limited and jealous. Mob boss. It is to laugh.

Trump is like Emmanuel Goldstein in “1984”, the supposed leader of opposition to the Establishment.

    Amanda projects bigly.

weren’t concerned with the cameras all around them, and many of them posted photos and videos of their escapades that day on social media
That might be because they actually thought there was nothing wrong with getting to walk through their own building. And maybe that’s because there really isn’t.
