On Wednesday, TX Gov. Greg Abbott held a press conference on the Uvalde school shooting. Then Beto O’Rourke crashed the presser, blaming the governor for the deaths of 19 children and two teachers.
I was watching the presser, thinking to myself that Abbott was giving the speech that Biden never gave, and should have. The governor had a difficult time at the start, his voice cracking with emotion. The pictures of six of the victims were displayed during the broadcast I watched.
After Abbott finished, he turned the presser over to Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, when suddenly a heckler stood up and screamed at the governor. I couldn’t tell what he was saying, but as he was being escorted from the site, I couldn’t believe my eyes.
Is that Beto? I asked myself. I couldn’t really tell, but it sure did look like him. And this would be the kind of stunt he would pull.
I was right: Beto was the heckler. But his presence wasn’t welcome.
O’Rourke began his tantrum by accusing Abbott of “doing nothing” about school shootings.
“This is on you!”
“The time to stop the next shooting is right now and you are doing nothing.”
However, Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin, who was onstage with Gov. Abbott, wouldn’t stand for Beto’s hysterics at such a solemn presser. He gave him a dressing-down, Texas-style, calling O’Rourke a “sick son-of-a-bitch.”
“It’s on a**holes like you. Why don’t you get out of here?”
McLaughlin also accused Beto of seeking to politicize the moment, which is exactly what he was doing. O’Rourke, as you may recall, is running for governor.
"It's on you."

Beto may have been booted from the presser, but he wasn’t done. No, not by a long shot. In fact, he stood outside, with reporters standing around him, continuing to emote.
He blasted the NRA for holding a convention in Texas this weekend. He called for “universal background checks” (is he unaware that people who buy guns legally already get checked?). And, of course, he wants to ban AR-15s in Texas.
Oh, and by the way, he also said this:
“If we had a governor. . .”
Shorter Beto: Vote for meeeee!
Immediately after O’Rourke left the press conference under police escort, Gov. Abbott said this:
“There are family members who are crying as we speak. Think about the people who are hurt, and help those who are hurt.”
Later, he issued this statement.

Conservative commentator Steven Crowder tweeted:
Beta O'Rourke's campaign mustn't be doing so well if he has to resort to pulling a publicity stunt like this one. Also you know you messed up when the mayor of the town the shooting occurred in calls you a "sick son of a bitch."

Indeed. This so-obvious pander for votes won’t serve him well among regular Texans come November. Oh, he’ll have his anti-gun groupies and far-left fans in Austin who think he’s hot stuff. And they’ll squeal about how . . . what’s the cliché? stunning and brave Beto was.
Like Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) who tweeted a comparison of Beto to the Tank Man of Tiananmen Square, and then deleted it.

But Gov. Abbott was the adult in the room. He didn’t trash-talk O’Rourke from the stage — the mayor did that for him, and good on Mayor McLaughlin. Abbott’s first remark after O’Rourke’s stunt was directed towards comforting the families of the victims. His subsequent formal statement was also dignified and non-political.
As I said above: Gov. Abbott gave the speech that Joe Biden should’ve given to the nation on Tuesday. Beto O’Rourke tried to annihilate the governor’s message of unity and that yes, evil does exist. And evil is not political.
Beto O’Rourke’s tantrum will come back to bite him in the ass. He will have well deserved it.

What a cheap and nasty bloke this Beto is to try to make political capital over the deaths of children within a day or so of their deaths, but he is a Democrat and most seem to lack conscience and intelligence so it’s probably to be expected.
Beto, or whatever his name is, is a grandstanding sonofabitch playing the liberal left game of ASSIGNING BLAME…blame where it does not belong. In such shootings, the blame falls squarely on the one who pulled the trigger. Blaming others is simply sick political theater.
Thank you for that post. What a slimey gutter rat!
[…] tragedy like this happens, you run to a microphone and blather about how the GUN is the problem. Beto O’Rourke interrupts grieving families to grandstand about the big bad evil gun as if that will get the sick […]
Another cheap, opportunistic Democrat: Barack Obama is trying to out-do O’Rourke:
“As we grieve the children of Uvalde today, we should take time to recognize that two years have passed since the murder of George Floyd under the knee of a police officer. His killing stays with us all to this day, especially those who loved him.”
What a horrible pairing: innocent children and adults lumped in with a drug-addled, woman bashing career criminal.
I’d comment on that bucktoothed Bozo, but he’s just one of many butt-holes trying to bring the country Hell On Earth.
Good bye, Beta. And may you rot in Hell.
[…] so he had nothing better to do than run for governor and make a complete ass of himself when he decided to grandstand in Uvalde after the horrific school massacre there by crashing a press conference. Governor Greg Abbott ended […]
