United States Track & Field sprinter, Sha’carri Richardson, received a one month suspension from the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for testing positive for marijuana. Meanwhile, biological men will be competing against women at the Olympics next month. Welcome to Delusion World.
In all honesty, I haven’t cared about the Olympics since 1988 when the late, great Florence Griffith-Joyner (Flo-Jo) won three gold medals. But, the Sha’carri Richardson suspension really burned my cookies. As reported by NBC News:
U.S. track sensation Sha’Carri Richardson, who punched her ticket to the Tokyo Games after winning the women’s 100-meter race last month, has been suspended from the Olympic team after testing positive for THC, the chemical in cannabis.
Richardson failed a drug test following her Olympic qualifying 100-meter race victory at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials in Eugene, Oregon, on June 19, according to the United States Anti-Doping Agency.
“Richardson’s competitive results obtained on June 19, 2021, including her Olympic qualifying results at the Team Trials, have been disqualified, and she forfeits any medals, points, and prizes,” a statement from the USADA said.
She also accepted a one-month period of ineligibility that began on June 28, 2021.
Richardson tweeted very simply:
I am human
— Sha’Carri Richardson (@itskerrii) July 1, 2021
She did an interview with the Today show:
I love this child. Yes, she is 21 years old, but she is a baby. She admits that she knew what she what she was supposed to do. She did wrong. She apologized. The young woman in the video is honest, open and beautiful. She is also right. She is young and will, please God, have many more chances to win medals at the Olympics.
Sha’carri Richardson cannot run the 100 meters because she tested positive for pot. There is a chance she could run in the relay. You have got to be kidding me. I am not a fan of marijuana, but I lovers me some Scotch. To each his own. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has believed for years that the pot laws are antiquated and reiterated that the other day.
What sent me over the edge is this beautiful woman is suspended while biological males get a free pass to compete against women in the Olympics. I know that CeCe Telfer has been banned from the competition for having testosterone levels too high. But, all transgender male to female athletes have levels that are too high.
Here is the science behind my claim from Springer.com:
Key Points
-Given that biological males experience a substantial performance advantage over females in most sports, there is currently a debate whether inclusion of transgender women in the female category of sports would compromise the objective of fair and safe competition.
-Here, we report that current evidence shows the biological advantage, most notably in terms of muscle mass and strength, conferred by male puberty and thus enjoyed by most transgender women is only minimally reduced when testosterone is suppressed as per current sporting guidelines for transgender athletes.
-This evidence is relevant for policies regarding participation of transgender women in the female category of sport.
And, from PBS.org:
Testosterone strengthens muscle tone and bone mass. Because of that, it is against the rules for athletes to use testosterone supplements. Some women have what is known as hyperandrogenism, meaning they have natural levels that are unusually high.
The IAAF rules require women to reduce their levels below 5 nanomoles per liter of blood. According to the IAAF, most females, including elite athletes, have levels of testosterone circulating naturally in their bodies of 0.12 to 1.79 nanomoles per liter, while men have levels that can be dozens or even hundreds of times higher — typically 7.7 to 29.4.
So, biological males competing as women will, under the current rules, always have approximately two and a half times the performance enhancing testosterone than a biological female. Net net is that biological men competing as women in women’s sports will always have an advantage.
Welcome to Delusion World. Miss Richardson gets suspended because of an antiquated Federal law. Meanwhile, biological males competing as women get to use their natural performance enhancing hormone to beat the women.
One day we will look back on this era as some kind of global insanity. Here’s hoping Miss Richardson wins many gold medals and gets tons of sponsors.

I do not care for Seth Rogan in the slightest. But his reaction was, for once, absolute truth: “If weed made you fast, I’d be FloJo.”
Mary Jane, if anything, would be a performance reducer.
Because That the Rules, Unfortunately many don’t follow them and a lot get away with it.
As for MEN competing in women’s sports that another thing and is so idiotically obvious
should be banned completely.
However if you can show me where women who identify as men are competing ?
Years ago and back then they did genetic testing to make sure you were a women in the Olympics. The communist countries tried that trick and some of there “athletes ” chose not to compete.
So why is this legal now ? A broken world we live in and a lawless one too.
Shame on the Olympics for allowing this , You do know the Olympics were discontinued for cdenturies when they became to corrupt.
I disagree. It was the rules, and she knew the rules and now should face the consequences. Period.
You are welcome to argue it shouldn’t be a banned drug. But you are not welcome to argue that she shouldn’t suffer the consequences for breaking the rules because she desired otherwise.
As to the idiocy of other rules? Again, a totally separate discussion from whether she should be dropped.
