Obamacare is a behemoth wrapped in a Medusa of regulations covered with incomprehensible gobbledygook that no one can decipher, not even the people it’s supposed to help!
From the very start ACA was never “Affordable.” I’m talking financial AND what patients and medical professionals have to deal with. Losing healthcare, losing doctors, costly premiums and skyrocketing deductibles, worry over the issues of pre-existing conditions, medications not covered by, insurance companies pulling out of the market place… the list goes on.
We’ve written about all the problems multiple times, and Kim speaks eloquently about her own battles with ACA here.
So, Kim liked and managed to keep her doctors. Yay!!?? Umm, no. Not when hidden costs are tripping everyone up. Kim is far from alone. We know so many others who are dealing with the same. Part of the reason for these hidden expenses? The additional 20,000 pages of regulations that are now attached like leeches to the damn thing!
Vice President Pence spoke about Obamacare yesterday at CPAC, saying the Obamacare nightmare is about to end.
Would that Obamacare, NOT healthCARE by any stretch of the means, be so easy to dump. It won’t be. It will take quite a while to carefully unring that bell ladies and gentlemen.
John Boehner’s opinion of this effort is NOT helpful.
“In the 25 years that I served in the United States Congress, Republicans never, ever, one time agreed on what a health care proposal should look like. Not once,” Boehner said. “And all this happy talk that went on in November and December and January about repeal, repeal, repeal—yeah, we’ll do replace, replace—I started laughing, because if you pass repeal without replace, first, anything that happens is your fault. You broke it.”
Boehner? You KNEW that behemoth was being put together, and you knew that there were opportunities to pass legislative changes to ACA by getting multiple people on board. Did you work to make any of that happen?? No, you did not. YOU Mr. Boehner are one of the ones who put this piece of crap in place by doing NOTHING. So do us a favor, Shut. Up. and go back to your tanning bed.
Many in the GOP are trying to see what can be done to either repeal, repair, or replace ACA. Unfortunately, trying to hold reasoned discussions on the issue at town halls gets drowned out protestors who aren’t willing to listen to what anyone has to say.
We’ve all been affected by Obamacare. For those who don’t need health insurance, they bite the bullet and hope they can deal with the IRS fine. For those who get a subsidy and income improves, tax time! And let’s not forget the taxes that the IRS has seen fit to slam into place. SIXTEEN different taxes you guys, all courtesy of ACA regulations.
For those insist that an Obamacare repeal will kill people… No it won’t. As for those who want ACA dumped RIGHT NOW. Well..
It was successful at what it was intended to do: funnel taxpayer money to special interest groups and labor unions (but I repeat)

Obamacare in all it’s “Affordable” 2,700 page + 20,000 regulatory glory has been riddled with problems from the start. Changes do need to be made. But those changes must, as I’ve stated before, involve the insight and input from patients, doctors, nurses, and caregivers who should be willing to speak calmly and clearly about the ACA issues they deal with on a daily basis.
