Lesson number one in journalism these days should really be, remember that the video will surface. Dana Milbank of the Washington Post should take note of that when he writes his next column. This modern truth was explained in a wonderful article titled “Friends Don’t Let Friends Read Dana Milbank”  by Mollie Hemingway over at the Federalist.com. You see Mr. Milbank grossly and irresponsibly misrepresented what happened at a Heritage Foundation panel discussion on the Benghazi cluster on September 11th, 2012 featuring some leading minds in the arena of Islamofacism that took place in Washington D.C. last night. Both Brigitte Gabriel, founder of ACT! for America and Frank Gaffney from the Center for Security Policy were featured guests on the panel. If you aren’t up to speed on their resumes, let me give you the condensed version.

Brigitte Gabriel is a leading authority on terrorism and Islamofacism and has survived the attempts of Islamic radicals to wipe out her family in Lebanon. At the age of nine, she was sent out of the bunker where she and her family were hiding in her native Lebanon, and told to run toward Israel to survive. She not only survived but thrived going on to become a leading television news anchor on Middle East television’s World News and eventually came to the U.S. Post 9/11 she became an outspoken critic of Islamic radicals and went on to found ACT! for America in order to preserve what she sees as the world’s last bastion of hope for defeating the radical Islamic ideology that almost killed her and her family. In short, she is amazing.

Frank Gaffney is a similarly impressive figure. A former Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Policy under President Ronald Reagan, he went on to become the Assistant Secretary for Nuclear Defense Forces And Arms Control Policy in the late 1980’s. Since then he has become an acclaimed author, widely recognized radio talk show host of Secure Freedom Radio and founded the Center for Security Policy which educates the public about all manner of national security threats, not the least of which is Shari’ah law.

Now that we know the two “agressors” in Milbank’s story, lets meet the “protagonist”, one Saba Ahmed. This is where Mr. Milbank needed to remember the second rule of journalism-make sure your “victim” is a victim. Saba is well known in conservative circles in the Pacific North West, which is where she lived prior to moving to Washington D.C. Why, you ask? Glad you asked dear reader. Ms. Ahmed is well known for attending various GOP and 9/12 functions without invitations, including one statewide GOP meeting where credentials were required-and since Ms. Ahmed was a registered “D” at the time, she lacked the proper credentials to attend. She ran for Congress when Senator David Wu’s seat opened up due to his unfortunate furry tendencies becoming public knowledge, her previous political experience being “D” gold since she had completed internships with Earl Blumenauer, OR-D and Governor Ted Kulongoski. When that did not work out she re-registered as a Republican and began showing up at local GOP and 9/12 meetings and interrupting the proceedings.  Once, her family reported her missing and she turned up in a California hotel with only a credit card on her person. Evidently she had been diagnosed with a mental disorder and had gone missing during the process of checking herself into a local hospital.

Now, I know you are probably saying “You should be more understanding!”, but this last piece of information is one I think you will agree is disturbing and deserves to be considered by the local law enforcement wherever Ms. Ahmed hangs her hijab. She was frequently interviewed as a family friend of Mohamad Mohamud, who you might remember as the attempted Christmas Tree Bomber who would have killed thousands if his plot to bomb a local Christmas Tree lighting had not been foiled by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Yes, that is right-she has been repeatedly interviewed by the FBI as a friend of a convicted terrorist and she is turning up in our nations capital being portrayed by national media (and ridiculous Femi-Nazi bloggers at Jezebel) as a victim. Pretty irresponsible if you ask me.
