Walz Blames Feds For The Unrest, Then Federal LEO Is Attacked

Walz Blames Feds For The Unrest, Then Federal LEO Is Attacked

Never let it be said that Tim Walz doesn’t have an impeccable sense of timing.

On Wednesday evening, the governor of Minnesota decided to give an address (some technical difficulties were involved in the broadcast because Minnesota, apparently) about how the federal government is singling out Minnesota and causing all these problems. Just leave them alone, and let them and their illegal aliens live together in peace and harmony and fraud! How DARE the feds insist on things like “accountability!” This, according to Walz, is “a campaign of organized brutality” by the feds.

What’s happening in Minnesota right now defies belief. News reports simply don’t do justice to the level of chaos and disruption and trauma the federal government is raining down upon our communities.

Two-thousand to 3,000 armed agents of the federal government have been deployed to Minnesota. Armed, masked, undertrained ICE agents are going door to door, ordering people to point out where their neighbors of color live.

They’re pulling over people indiscriminately, including U.S. citizens, and demanding to see their papers. And at grocery stores, at bus stops, even at our schools they’re breaking windows, dragging pregnant women down the street, just plain grabbing Minnesotans and shoving them into unmarked vans, kidnapping innocent people with no warning and no due process.

Let’s be very, very clear: this long ago stopped being a matter of immigration enforcement. Instead, it’s a campaign of organized brutality against the people of Minnesota by our own federal government.

Walz then references the death of Renee Good, and then warns that President Trump is “threatening” Minnesota because… the state didn’t vote for him. Ummmmmm… no. Regardless, Walz then presses on to stoke the activist flames and ratchet up the temperature just a leetle bit more.

All across Minnesota people are stepping up to help their neighbors who are being unjustly and unlawfully targeted. They’re distributing care packages and walking kids to school and raising their voices in peaceful protest, even though doing so has made many of our fellow Minnesotans targets for violent retribution.

Folks, I know it’s scary, and I know it’s absurd that we all have to defend law and order, justice and humanity while also caring for our families and trying to do our jobs.

So tonight, let me say once again to Donald Trump and Kristi Noem: End this occupation. You’ve done enough.

First, Donald Trump wants this chaos. He wants confusion, and yes, he wants more violence on our streets. We cannot give him what he wants.

We can, we must protest loudly, urgently, but also peacefully. Indeed, as hard as we will fight in the courts and at the ballot box, we cannot and will not let violence prevail.

You’re angry. I’m angry. Angry is not a strong enough word, but we must remain peaceful.

Second, you are not powerless, you are not helpless, and you are certainly not alone. All across Minnesota, people are learning about opportunities not just to resist, but to help people who are in danger.

Thousands upon thousands of our fellow Minnesotans are going to be relying on mutual aid in the days and weeks to come, and they need our support.

Tonight I wanna share another way you can help: witness. Help us establish a record of exactly what’s happening in our communities.

You have an absolute right to peacefully film ICE agents as they conduct these activities, so carry your phone with you at all times, and if you see these ICE agents in your neighborhood, take out that phone and hit record.

Help us create a database of the atrocities against Minnesotans, not just to establish a record for posterity, but to bank evidence for future prosecution.

The third thing I want to say to you tonight is we will not have to live like this forever. Accountability is coming at the voting booth and in court.

We will reclaim our communities from Donald Trump. We will reestablish a sense of safety for our neighbors, and we will bring an end to this moment of chaos, confusion and trauma.

Tim Walz is talking like Minnesota is about to secede from the Union. What the absolute hell does this schmuckface think he is doing with this speech? It’s like he’s goading the federal government AND giving the protesters in the street ammunition at the same time.

And while the speech didn’t lead directly to what happened next, what happened next IS the result of the atmosphere of sniveling contempt and inane pandering that both Tim Walz and Mayor Jacob Frey have been egging on since the death of Renee Good. An illegal Venezuelan alien who attempted to flee from a federal law enforcement officer was shot in the leg after attacking that officer. But the story is far more complicated than just “illegal alien shot by law enforcement.” That officer could have easily been killed, thanks to two other people who decided to interfere.

The full DHS statement reads:

At 6:50 PM CT, federal law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted traffic stop in Minneapolis of an illegal alien from Venezuela who was released into the country by Joe Biden in 2022.

In an attempt to evade arrest, the subject fled the scene in his vehicle and crashed into a parked car. The subject then fled on foot.

The law enforcement officer caught up to the subject on foot and attempted to apprehend him when the subject began to resist and violently assault the officer. While the subject and law enforcement were in a struggle on the ground, two subjects came out of a nearby apartment and also attacked the law enforcement officer with a snow shovel and broom handle.

As the officer was being ambushed and attacked by the two individuals, the original subject got loose and began striking the officer with a shovel or broom stick.

Fearing for his life and safety as he was being ambushed by three individuals, the officer fired a defensive shot to defend his life. The initial subject was hit in the leg.

All three subjects ran back into the apartment and barricaded themselves inside.

The attacked officer and subject are both in the hospital. Both attackers are in custody.

This attack on another brave member of law enforcement took place while Minnesota’s top leaders, Governor Walz and Mayor Frey, are actively encouraging an organized resistance to ICE and federal law enforcement officers.

Their hateful rhetoric and resistance against men and women who are simply trying to do their jobs must end. Federal law enforcement officers are facing a 1,300% increase in assaults against them as they put their lives on the line to arrest criminals and lawbreakers.

While news reports claim that the federal law enforcement officer was ICE, the Department of Homeland Security does not explicitly identify the officer involved as ICE. And wow, does this story raise a lot of questions. Who, exactly, are these “two subjects” who decided to jump into the fray and attack an LEO, federal or not, while that same LEO is attempting to make an arrest? Did they know this suspect? They apparently had no problem helping the illegal alien evade arrest, as they took him TO THIS APARTMENT and “barricaded themselves inside.” Were these some self-righteous “ICE watchers” who decided that THIS WAS THEIR MOMENT and committed assault and battery on a federal LEO? I’m sure we’re going to find out eventually who these individuals were, and I’m sure that the federal government is going to start stacking up the charges, regardless of their status. But if these two belong to the “ICE Watch” crowd, then the shit is going to hit the fan.

As news of this shooting became public, Mayor Frey and Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara held a press conference. Frey came across as incredibly whiny and petulant, complaining that ICE is still in Minneapolis.

Frey is again calling for ICE to leave Minneapolis, calling the immigration crackdown “not sustainable,” after a man was shot by an ICE agent Wednesday.

“There’s still a lot that we don’t know at this time, but what I can tell you for certain is that this is not sustainable,” Frey said at a press conference Wednesday night. “This is an impossible situation that our city is presently being put in.”

Frey says the city is trying to “find a way forward to keep people safe, to protect our neighbors, to maintain order.”

“We’re in a position right now where we have residents that are asking the very limited number of police officers that we have to fight ICE agents on the street,” Frey said. “We cannot be at a place right now in America where we have two governmental entities that are literally fighting one another.”

If, as Mayor Frey claims, there are people in Minneapolis wanting the local police to actually take on the federal government, it seems incumbent on the mayor, the police chief, and yes, THE GOVERNOR, to turn down the temperature and not set the scene for the protesters to feel “justified” in ATTACKING FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT because Minnesota is being “occupied.” Just how many more people does Tim Walz want to see arrested, or killed, for interfering with or attacking federal agents? Is he attempting to build some kind of sick legacy as a leftist resistance hero before leaving office? What, exactly, is Walz’s endgame here? If he actually cared about the people of Minnesota, he would be aggressively rooting out fraud and complying with federal law. Instead, he’s setting himself up to be lauded by the left as their champion of the moment. Does he think that this will catapult him into a political future outside of Minnesota? Or does he just not care if the state burns down on his way out the door? At this point, and after that speech, either one is a possibility.
