The UN, yesterday, very reluctantly admitted something we all knew happened. Hamas did indeed brutally rape Israeli women on October 7th, 2023.
The U.N. envoy focusing on sexual violence in conflict said in a new report Monday that there are “reasonable grounds” to believe Hamas committed rape, “sexualized torture,” and other cruel and inhumane treatment of women during its surprise attack in southern Israel on Oct. 7.
There are also “reasonable grounds to believe that such violence may be ongoing,” said Pramila Patten, who visited Israel and the West Bank from Jan. 29 to Feb. 14 with a nine-member technical team.
Based on first-hand accounts of released hostages, she said the team “found clear and convincing information” that some women and children during their captivity were subjected to the same conflict-related sexual violence including rape and “sexualized torture.”
What’s enraging and horrific about this is that the UN had to be dragged kicking and screaming to this realization. Then again, the United Nations has never ever been a fan of Israel, thus the title of their report is as follows:
Official visit of the Office of the SRSG-SVC to Israel and the occupied West Bank 29 January – 14 February 2024
Yup. The United Nations will always view the West Bank as occupied territory by Israel. So it’s rather amazing that their report actually concluded that Hamas is the bad guy here. Especially when there are many who were attacked on that day and survived who now realize that Hamas is dangerous.
In the wake of October 7, Lahav and other Israelis who had supported and campaigned for territorial compromises with the Palestinians as a pathway to peace now say they are being forced to reconsider their views.
“I used to think Palestinians were good people, like you and me. That Hamas were thugs who got in the way of the population’s desire for a good life: a pretty home, a good car, a good job, a nice yard; good schools for the children.” Lahav said from the temporary home she shares with her daughter Lotus, a new three-bedroom apartment on the fifth floor of a residential project in Kiryat Gat where many Nir Oz survivors have relocated to.
“After October 7, I realized I was wrong. Just as the Israeli government represents Israelis, Hamas represents the people of Gaza.”
The United Nations waited MONTHS before finally calling out the brutal attacks on women. Yet it was still weeks after that before this report was published and stated the obvious.
Yes. We know. Thats been known from the beginning. The #UN continues to be garbage https://t.co/ifD2uEt2mp

What absolutely enrages me is that the UN consistently uses the phrase “reasonable grounds” to discuss the atrocities Hamas is committing upon innocent women and children.
They ‘reasonably’ believe this happened, even while hoping we’ll all shut up about the fact that they KNEW Hamas was using schools, hospitals, and United Nations offices as shelters for guns, weapons, and more.
Let us not forget that it is now verified that the UN led agency UNRWA actually aided and abetted these HAMAS terrorists.
What’s also infuriating is that suddenly the UN is saying that the social media posts and videos of the attacks were, in fact, possibly genuine. Except, until they get verified proof from those who were actually raped, it’s all just a bunch of allegations, and it’s only “circumstantial evidence” according to Patten, the lead investigator.
Her key recommendation is to encourage Israel to grant access to the U.N. human rights chief and the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Palestinian territories and Israel “to carry out full-fledged investigations into the alleged violations” — and she expressed hope the Security Council would do this.
Patten said the team was not able to meet with any victims of sexual violence “despite concerted efforts to encourage them to come forward.” While the number of victims remains unknown, she said, “a small number of those who are undergoing treatment are reportedly experiencing severe mental distress and trauma.”
I tell you what, after reading that, I wanted to throw things. They went to the morgue and saw the evidence, they talked to the hostages who survived, they saw the videos and yet none of this is verified because the remaining hostages haven’t been able to come forward and VERIFY these rapes??!!!
Yes, the United Nations is GARBAGE.
Yet, there have been many who’ve been steadfast in their support of Israel.
I forcefully condemn these cowardly, horrifying, unprovoked attacks on Israel by Hamas.

Attacking innocent civilians is particularly despicable and reflects the craven behavior of this terrorist group.
I unequivocally stand with the people of Israel now, and always.
Who knew that John Fetterman would turn out to be such a supporter of Israel?!
At any point, Hamas could have ended this burgeoning tragedy to surrender and release every hostage.

Now, they're unwilling to provide a list of any surviving hostages.
Hamas is anathema to peace for Gaza.

Meanwhile, Hamas terrorists are playing the PR game. They know nothing and it’s all Israel’s fault!
Hamas, as Jazz Shaw at HotAir points out, is fulfilling the Friedrich Nietzsche warning, “Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster.”
Except Hamas IS the monster and the UN is still enabling them because of their hatred of Israel.

The UN views children as sex toys and the more Muslim majority nations join them, the more atrocities like this against Israel are going to be accepted.
