Elections have consequences. Learn to read the room. Some of the advice that the bipartisan meeting of Senators should have, but didn’t, give to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday before he went into the East Room and acted a fool. After National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and Secretary of State Marco Rubio dropped kicked Z out of the White House. Zelenskyy should have, but didn’t learn. He went on a whining tour. Now, President Trump has paused U.S. Military Aid to Ukraine.

I thought that that “bipartisan group” had given Zelenskyy bad advice as soon as he acted up and wrote about it here. I don’t have super powers, but we all know that that group. Don’t trust them at all. We also know why the Ukraine Ambassador Oksana Markarova did the classic face palm in the East Room. Apparently, Z-man called J.D. Vance a “beyotch” or suka blyat. After Little Z went and cried to British P.M. Keir Starmer, Trump took action and cut off military aid. From the New York Post:

President Trump ordered a pause on all US military aid to Ukraine Monday, days after he kicked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky out of the White House following a heated Oval Office meeting between the leaders.

The pause will remain in effect until Ukrainian officials demonstrate a good-faith commitment to peace negotiations, a White House official told The Post.

“The President has been clear that he is focused on peace,” the official said. “We need our partners to be committed to that goal as well.”

“We are pausing and reviewing our aid to ensure that it is contributing to a solution.”

In other words, the pause will remain in effect until people realize there is no winning in this situation. More:

The official noted that the temporary pause is a direct response to Zelensky’s conduct over the last week.

Trump has ordered Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to execute the directive, which will halt the shipment of all US military equipment not already in Ukraine, including weapons in Europe that were heading toward the war-torn country.

This is nearly the same as Biden promising weapons systems and then slow-walking them while the people of Ukraine were being ground into the trenches, but way more honest. It puts the ball in Zelenskyy’s hands. The Z-man decides the timing. Here is more from the Wall Street Journal:

The White House didn’t announce under what conditions the U.S. would resume military aid, which drew from U.S. stockpiles, or whether it will be at the same pace. While there isn’t a clear understanding of what Washington wants from Kyiv, the decision was the most demonstrative U.S. shift from Ukraine’s once top ally.

A senior administration official said all of Trump’s top national security advisers agreed with the decision to temporarily pause the aid after multiple meetings on the issue. Trump, enraged by Zelensky’s comments that he thought the end of the war was far away, felt the need to show he was serious about getting Ukraine to the peace table.

“The Ukrainians didn’t think we were serious,” the administration official said. “We had to make a demonstration.”

The official said Trump would decide what constitutes Ukraine showing that it was serious about peace talks, adding that it was unclear if Zelensky signing a rare minerals deal sought by the Trump administration was enough to restart arms deliveries.

This is not a permanent stoppage on military aid. This is simply a pause to bring Zelenskyy back to the table with a clearer mindset. Brian Kilmeade is right here. Leslie Marshall makes an obvious and stupid point:

Vladimir Putin is beyond redemption. He is a murdering thug with no respect for life. He has no hope. Zelenskyy is not a bad man. He just believes his own press. We knew that when he and Mrs. Z did the Vogue photo shoot at the beginning of the war. Zelenskyy needs to sit down and shut up and learn about the Art of the Deal. The U.S. Military Aid will then flow and Zelenskyy can then hope to rebuild his country.
