Elon Musk, you have some additional cleaning up to do at Twitter – and some suspensions to remove.

In the wake of the Covenant school shooting in Nashville, many journalists and commentators and politicians were pointing out that the transgender activists on Twitter had been agitating for a “Trans Day of Vengeance” on April 1st. The account, Trans Resistance Network, has locked itself down, but not before releasing a statement on the shooting.

Their statement, coupled with their call for “vengeance” and then locking down their account so that tweet can’t be accessed, speaks to the fact that whoever is running that account knows that calling for violence and then seeing violence happen leads to culpability issues. Perhaps not legally, but definitely in the eyes of the court of public opinion. “Vengeance” does not mean “peaceful protest.”

Well, here comes Twitter to save the day for the trans activists who are bravely running away from their desired “Day of Vengeance” digital trail. Yesterday, Twitter began locking out blue checks who dared report on this. Sean Davis, CEO of The Federalist, was one of them.

“The cold-blooded mass murder at a Christian school in Nashville by an apparent transgender person came just days before a planned ‘Trans Day Of Vengeance’ organized by the Trans Radical Activist Network,” wrote Davis.”

According to Twitter, Davis’ objectively true tweet violates the app’s rules “against violent speech.” Twitter has already deleted the tweet but informed Davis his account will remain locked until he manually deletes it as well. Davis, however, is refusing to participate in Twitter’s Orwellian re-education exercise.”

“This is deliberate censorship and gaslighting designed to memory-hole the FACT that the Nashville shooter targeted and murdered Christian children and teachers just days ahead of a scheduled ‘Trans Day of Vengeance,’” Davis wrote in a statement. “Twitter is lying about the facts and defaming those of us who reported on them.”

Also swept up in a mass suspension for mentioning the “Trans Day of Vengeance”? Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene. Daily Wire’s investigative reporter Luke Rosiak. And now Daily Wire podcast host Michael Knowles.

So, what gives? Here is Ella Irwin of Twitter to explain – they just did a search for posts with “vengeance” in the text and went on a mass banning spree.

Irwin’s explanation does not allow for context, like reporters actually covering what was said by the trans activists. Who decided to run that sweep, and conveniently ban those who were actively pointing out and criticizing Twitter allowing the “Trans Day of Vengeance” posts to exist, up until the point that people were murdered in Nashville?

Despite being owned by Elon Musk, Twitter is still a deeply left-leaning organization that is biased against those they disagree with. While Musk has done everyone a public service by opening the Twitter Files and showing how deep the rot went at the company, things like this are still happening. Why? Because those who are left still share the views and biases of the former management. Elon Musk has discussed moving Twitter out of San Francisco, but that would require moving or staffing the company in another state, and still would not be a complete solution for weeding out the continuing banhammer problems on the platform. The one advantage to these blanket suspensions is that they are easily seen for what they are now, and the people who are pointing them out are not getting banned themselves.

It’s fine for Twitter to ban the advertisement for a “Trans Day of Vengeance,” but they are restricting the accounts who noticed the threat, instead of the ones who initially promoted the threat. Those accounts are protecting themselves and hiding, hoping that nothing bad happens this Saturday that they will be blamed for. Elon Musk to the courtesy phone, please – and get some employees with common sense.
