The Republican National Convention is playing out like some television Soap Opera. Instead of “The Young and the Restless”, it could be called “The Young and the Rest of Us”. The amazingly gorgeous Trump kids and current wife Melania versus the rest of the strange cast, especially Mr. Trump. Then, there was the orchestrated Cruz Boos during Ted Cruz’s speech last night.

Phil Shiver of the Conservative Review is reporting that Trump had people on the floor to whip up the crowd during the Cruz speech. I had no idea. Look my shocked face. In case you missed the speech:

The 411 is that the Trumpets knew (duh) what Ted Cruz was going to say in advance. Well, I should hope so. It would be irresponsible, juvenile and unprofessional. Oh, wait. This is the Republican National Convention. Do you remember any Republican National Convention where there wasn’t irresponsible, juvenile and unprofessional conduct? LOL

When Ted Cruz was talking about America being more than a land mass between two oceans, I was cheering. From Roll Call, here are Senator Cruz’s words:

America is more than just a land mass between two oceans, America is an ideal. A simple, yet powerful ideal. Freedom matters.

For much of human history government power has been the unavoidable constant in life. Government decrees and the people obey, but not here. We have no king or queen, we have no dictator, we the people constrain government.

Our nation is exceptional because it was built on the five most beautiful and powerful words in the English language, “I want to be free.”

That kind of soaring rhetoric. That philosophy. That understanding of individual freedom is what drew me to support Ted Cruz. Well, not at first. First I loved Carly Fiorina, then I loved Marco Rubio. But, once I listened to Ted Cruz, I knew that he “got it”.

Ted Cruz congratulated Donald Trump at the beginning of his speech. At the end of his speech, Cruz asked Americans to vote with our conscience. To vote up and down the ballot for candidates who would remain true to the Constitution.

If you love our country, and love our children as much as you do, stand, and speak, and vote your conscience, vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend our freedom, and to be faithful to the constitution.

Was that not enough of an endorsement? Probably not. Trump entered the facility towards the end of the Cruz speech orchestrated to make a point. Trump’s plane interrupted Ted Cruz’s speech earlier in the day.

Alpha Males and Alpha Females like to have their Alpha-ness acknowledged. Having spent a lot of my life dealing with people who (at least thought they) were important, I know this to be true. The ego needs to be fed.

Did Trump have minions out on the floor to orchestrate booing or cries of “Endorse Trump” at salient times. I should hope so. That would indicate some organization on their part. I hate the idea that they would leave it up to random delegates.

Should Cruz or his supporters be all butt hurt about last night. No. Everyone should grow up. Politics ain’t bean bag. You want to go up against the Clinton Machine. You better be ready for some smash mouth tactics.
