Retired General Flynn is the Trump cabinet choice for National Security Advisor. As a retired intelligence officer, he brings 33 years of experience to the table, right? He was an appointee to the DIA and given his third star (Lt General) to run that agency. Which ended on a less than happy note as Stars & Stripes reports here:
Flynn did not leave the Obama administration on warm terms. In 2014, he was effectively forced out of the Defense Intelligence Agency as part of a leadership shake-up after clashing with officials over his management style and vision for the agency.
To some, clashing with the Obama administration is a feature not a bug. And this experience might be helpful for the incoming administration to drain the swamp, right? Maybe and maybe not. So, who is General Flynn?
