Sunday Morning Cafe Cocktails

Mimosa, Bloody Mary, nice flute of champagne — or maybe a favorite tipple in your coffee. Make yourself one and join me at our own Algonquin Round Table, the spirit of Dorothy Parker abides.

Happy Sunday, dear friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Now the Christmas season is in full swing, but I do, dears, would like to ask you to pace yourself and spend more time enjoying it than stressing it. And let’s start our enjoyment by passing around the champagne flutes and plates to avail ourselves of a sumptuous brunch.

Please do take a moment and let’s lift our glasses with a salute to Sarah Beckstrom — may her memory be a blessing — and Andrew Wolfe — our prayers for his recovery.

Every order is lawful until PROVEN otherwise.

The Jackass Six knows exactly what they are doing.

Up is down, black is white …

NYTimes wants you to know the perp is the real victim here.

“Daniel Kluver?” one of the officers asked, and he knew it was over. They showed him an arrest warrant in his real name and handcuffed him before leading him out of the house.

He was charged with aggravated identity theft and false representation of a Social Security number and was held in detention for six weeks before an initial bond hearing in April. The State of Missouri argued that he was a flight risk who needed to remain in custody until the trial. “What’s to stop him from going out and getting another identity and just living underneath that,” the prosecutor told the judge. “We’ve seen that before.”

But Perez-Bravo had most of his family and several members of his church at the hearing, and his lawyer said that he was “connected to the city in deep ways.” He regularly cooked for 60 people at church barbecues. He had a son who was about to graduate from high school, a boss who wrote letters testifying to his work ethic, and a pastor who was willing to pay a $1,000 bond on his behalf and risk her house as collateral. “This is a kind family and they help everybody,” the pastor testified. “We’re going to help him.” The judge ruled that he could return home with an ankle monitor until his next court date as long as he stopped using Kluver’s name and Social Security number.

Understand that the victim of Perez-Bravo — the real Daniel Kluver, has spent 15 years and tens of thousands of dollars in taxes, fines and fees, because his id was stolen and not the IRS or Social Security cared to help him. White working man? Pfffft. And the NYTimes, while outlining what Kluver went through just pivots to the illegal immigrant and how much “him community” is supporting him.

I’m out of sympathy for illegal aliens, especially those who deal in stolen identities.

Thanksgiving was just another holiday for the Left

… to proclaim their anti-Americanism.

The ACLU used to pretend it supported free speech. Then it abandoned free speech and joined the rat pack of radical leftist groups trying to out-radical each other.

That means commemorating Thanksgiving by, according to the ACLU, beginning with a ‘land acknowledgement’.

“Start by acknowledging the land beneath you. All land in the United States is Indigenous land”

Like St. Matthew Island, Alaska. Which belongs to the ice.

“Challenge the false and harmful Thanksgiving origin story.”

Always the best way to start a family get-together.

Let’s have a little reminder here, m’kay?

There’s a saying that the cops are not there to protect the citizens …

… they are there to arrest criminals, thus protecting them from the citizens.

This last bit bears repeating: These incidents are happening citywide, and they’re happening because there are no longer any real consequences to this kind of criminality. But let me make something very clear to the criminals — you are risking your lives bringing this chaos into our neighborhoods.

I know for a fact there were multiple armed residents who exercised extreme restraint last night, however that level of restraint is not guaranteed. If the city refuses to do what’s necessary, the people might.

If Mamdani insists on defunding the police, someone should run a screening of 1974’s Death Wish.

High school assistant principal and his brother caught plotting to murder ICE and police officers.

According to DHS officials, the Virginia Beach Police Department launched an investigation into the Bennett brothers on November 17 after an off-duty officer in Norfolk, Virginia, overheard them discussing plans to allegedly “kill police officers and ICE agents.”

Mark Bennett, in particular, allegedly discussed plans to meet with other anti-ICE activists in Las Vegas, Nevada, with whom he would purchase firearms. The plot allegedly involved using firearms with explosive rounds to kill as many agents as possible.

While we are rooting out illegal alien criminals and terrorists, let’s take a long look at migrant activists, too.

Your Sunday smile

Tenth grader Anthony Killinger paid attention in class and it paid off.

Less than a year after Anthony Killinger attended a CPR course in his school gymnasium, his mother was at the door of his bedroom saying she thought her husband was dead.

Running downstairs, Killinger found his stepfather, Mike Reese, unconscious on the ground making a snoring sound.

With a prayer to God to “take the wheel,” the Lancaster teen executed what he had been taught.

“I call 911 and the dude on the phone is telling me start doing CPR. I did it for like 8 minutes and then he started breathing again,” Killinger told WIVB 4 in Buffalo. “I had to check his pulse, but it kept fading.”

Due to Anthony’s actions, not only did Mike survive his heart attack but he didn’t suffer any brain damage either. Something the doctors marveled at.

Bravo, Anthony!

Dears, it looks like our time together has come to a close. But the rest of Sunday awaits … whether it is Christmas shopping or curling up with a mug of hot chocolate and bingeing Christmas movies, enjoy the day. See you next week. Cheers!
