Mimosa, Bloody Mary, nice flute of champagne — or maybe a favorite tipple in your coffee. Make yourself one and join me at our own Algonquin Round Table, the spirit of Dorothy Parker abides.

Happy Sunday, dear friends! Welcome to August. The Rodney Dangerfield month of the year. Kids take notice that summer vacation is almost over, and adults dread the heat. Our brunch today is featuring lots of refreshing chilled dishes — oh no, don’t worry, there’s always a platter or two of crispy bacon. Do try a twist on Mimosas: frosty flutes filled with champagne and POG juice. Sublime. Dears, we do need to keep our strength and spirits up even in the dog-days of August since the Cluster B Convention aka Democrats are in a constant state of freaking out. Blue jeans (and tans) are now Nazi.white.supremacy? Not since the drinking milk hoax from 4Chan has charges of Secret-Coded-Whiteness been so ridiculous. So pass the plates and name your adult beverage and let’s get to it. L’Chaim!

“We have to protect our phony baloney jobs here, gentlemen!”

Blue State AGs, led by New York’s Letitia James, have filed a lawsuit to stop the US government from daring to stop fraud in food stamps.

New York Attorney General Letitia James, joined by California Attorney General Rob Bonta and 19 other prosecutors, filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Monday to block the Department of Agriculture (USDA) from obtaining personal information on Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients, according to court documents. (snip)

The attorneys general also request that the Trump administration not disclose the SNAP data to the Department of Government Efficiency or federal immigration authorities for any purpose other than facilitating the program.

As usual, Democrats demonstrate how much they feel that all money belongs to them and nothing should ever interfere with fleecing taxpayers. Ever.

BTW Missy Letitia James would know about fraud, wouldn’t she? Oh, SNAP.
