While inverters are built to allow remote access for updates and maintenance, the utility companies that use them typically install firewalls to prevent direct communication back to China.
However, rogue communication devices not listed in product documents have been found in some Chinese solar power inverters by U.S experts who strip down equipment hooked up to grids to check for security issues, the two people said.Over the past nine months, undocumented communication devices, including cellular radios, have also been found in some batteries from multiple Chinese suppliers, one of them said.

Peter Schweyer, who is the chairman of the House Education Committee, allegedly told the high school-aged girls advocating for the “Save Women’s Sports Act” that he would not allow the legislation to advance out of his committee. (snip) Republican Pennsylvania State Sen. Judy Ward, who sponsored the “Save Women’s Sports Act,” observed the exchange and spoke with the Caller on Tuesday about the incident.
“I said, ‘Thank you, ladies, for being here and for being so supportive.’ I looked at Rep. Schweyer and said, ‘I understand you told them it’s not going anywhere.’ He said, ‘Yeah, that’s right.’ I said, ‘Shame on you,’ and he replied, ‘It’s not going to run. I chair Education, and it’s not going anywhere.’ I said, ‘You should be ashamed of yourself,’ and walked away,” Ward recounted.

Camp IdRaHaJe, which derives its name from the song “I’d Rather Have Jesus,” has served children in Bailey, Colorado since 1948 and has maintained a resident camp license in the state since 1995. Recently, the department that issues resident camp licenses amended its regulations, requiring children’s camps to allow campers to access bathing, dressing, and sleeping facilities designated to the opposite sex. When IdRaHaJe requested to run its camp in line with its religious beliefs, the department denied the request, forcing the camp to choose between upholding its beliefs about biological sex and risk losing its license or abandoning its beliefs and mission to minister to children.
“The government has no place telling religious summer camps that it’s ‘lights out’ for upholding their religious beliefs about human sexuality,” said ADF Legal Counsel Andrea Dill. “Camp IdRaHaJe exists to present the truth of the Gospel to children who are building character and lifelong memories. But the Colorado government is putting its dangerous agenda—that is losing popularity across the globe—ahead of its kids. We are urging the court to allow IdRaHaJe to operate as it has for over 75 years: as a Christian summer camp that accepts all campers without fear of being punished for its beliefs.”
This is a private camp that parents have to actively go and pick for their youngsters to attend. Outside of checking the health conditions of the kitchen and that there are not alligators in the lake, the government has no business telling Christian (or Jewish or just plain SANE) parents that their little girl had better be prepared to change into her jammies with a little boy looking on.

Thanks to a teen concerned enough to alert local law enforcement, tragedy was averted.
TEHAMA COUNTY, CALIF. — The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) held a press conference on Tuesday, May 13, where Sheriff Dave Kain addressed the thwarted attack on Evergreen Middle School in Cottonwood.
Sheriff Kain started by reviewing what we know about the case: On the evening of May 9, TCSO deputies received a call from a Tennessee resident. During the call, the Tennessee resident told deputies that they became concerned when a teen they were playing online games with began talking about school violence. They described the teen talking about having a manifesto and a plan to target a school in Tehama County. Sheriff Kain said the teen also sent photographs of himself and an accomplice dressed in the same attire and pose as the Columbine school shooters to the Tennessee resident.
Bravo to the young man in Tennessee who decided to speak up.
