During his 2024 campaign, one of Donald Trump’s major promises was deportations of illegal immigrants. When we voted for Trump, that was one of the reasons we voted for him. It was a big, beautiful promise. Since his Inauguration Day, many on the Left have been hyperventilating on Social Media and asking “Is this what you voted for?”. Why yes, it is, Sunshine. Lately though, all of the Democrats and their legacy media lackies have had their shorts in a wad over masked I.C.E. Agents and THEY need to get over it.
It was great to see acting I.C.E. Director Todd Lyons get absolutely indignant when two particularly obtuse reporters asked stupid questions about agents wearing masks.
The acting Director and several Special Agents in Charge (SAIC) conducted a 30 minute press conference about the huge removal operation conducted in Massachusetts recently. Well after the communications officials for I.C.E. had called last question, a female reporter and a male reporter each asked about I.C.E. agents wearing masks. That’s when Todd Lyons booked it backed to the podium, with thunder in his face. Masks have been an issue ever since the Feds started wearing them too. Too, because Antifa and all of their cosplay Jihadi friends have worn them to avoid being identified for years.
The Feds wear them to avoid their families being doxxed.
Levi heir and Congressweenie Dan Goldman just kvetched about confronting a masked agent. Oh my. From CBS New York:
New York Congressman Dan Goldman says he witnessed federal immigration agents with masks arresting asylum seekers at routine court appearances in New York City.
The recent U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement activity came after the Trump administration increased arrest quotas, which has shaken the city’s immigrant community and sparked protests over “expedited removals.”
Goldman said he confronted ICE agents last week in the lobby a building where immigration hearings are held and his office is located. It followed a night of chaotic protests over ICE tactics in New York City.
“There were about a dozen plainclothes ICE agents, many who had masks ready to put on, waiting for immigrants coming out of their regularly-scheduled court appearances,” Goldman said Sunday on CBS News New York’s “The Point with Marcia Kramer.”
Goldman carries his own podium around for conveniently giving speeches. It’s a good thing he’s a nepo because his word salad was all over the place:

This is the kind of idiotic thinking that the Trump Administration has to deal with. And that is how we got the stupid questions about masks that set Acting Director Lyons off yesterday. From The Tennessee Star:
Todd Lyons, the acting Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), clarified on Monday that ICE agents and officers routinely wear face due to the recently announced increase in threats to federal immigration officials, including to their spouses and family members.
Lyons confirmed the use of face masks by ICE agents during a Monday press conference, explaining the practice began after agents were doxxed during a joint operation with U.S. Secret Service in California earlier this year.
“A lot of agencies were invited to come out, two weeks ago, in Los Angeles, where we ran an operation where ICE officers were doxxed,” said Lyons, explaining that photographs of ICE agents were captured, then used to identify agents and their family members.
Lyons told reporters, “I’m sorry if people are offended by them wearing masks, but I’m not going to let my officers and agents go out there, put their officers on their line, put their families on the line, because people don’t like what immigration enforcement is.”
He told reporters, “They are wearing those masks because we were in an operation with the Secret Service, when we arrested someone, taking their photos, posting their families, the kids’ Instagram, their kids’ Facebook, and targeting them.”
His remarks were made in response to a question about ICE agents wearing masks during the recent immigration enforcement operation in Boston, Massachusetts, where law enforcement arrested nearly 1,500 illegal immigrants over the month of May. Officials said that 790 of those arrested “had significant criminal convictions or charges,” either in the United States or abroad.
They followed a recent announcement by U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin, who said the rate of assaults against ICE officers has recently increased by 413 percent.
Assaults against I.C.E. officers increased by over 400 percent. You won’t hear these reporters asking the cretins about why they are assaulting officers and their families. But one of the idiot reporters followed up by asking how they felt pressuring heads of families to leave the country.
Dear God, we don’t hate the media enough.

Goldman: We demand asymmetric warfare for “our” guys; it’s only fair to the “oppressed.”
Strange, but the gestapo, SS, brown shirts, . . . never found it necessary to wear masks.
So it’s OK for violent “protestors” to wear masks but I.C.E. agents can’t? Being an I.C.E. agent is far more dangerous than being a member of ANTIFA or other organizations who promote violence to get their way.
While I am not a fan of government agents ever wearing masks (I think they should be at risk of being doxxed, as it might keep the totalitarianism under control*)… the idea the agents can’t while AntiFa does is ludicrous.
BTW, if you don’t want to be doxxed, stop putting your entire family and personal details out there on the internet, people. If you don’t want people attacking your kids, then don’t post thousands of picture of them all over a public Facebook account or Instagram. Don’t let them share videos of themselves on TikTok. If you want your family to have privacy, then actually provide that privacy. If you prefer your 15 minutes of fame on the internet, then expect your family will be exposed by bad actors on said internet. (Did you know that a standard of webpages way back in … the 00s… was that ANY picture of ANY minor placed on a webpage, required a release signed by the parent(s)? So, you weren’t supposed to post pictures – with identifiable faces – from the Scout camping trip, on the public-facing Troop webpage, without having a signed release from every concerned parent.)
If you want to stop threats to your people, then DO SO – by finding those people and prosecuting them under applicable laws. If they haven’t actually broken any laws, then suck it up buttercup. I want transparency in ALL of my government activities, and part of that is not allowing a secret police that no one can identify. (I’m definitely an advocate of cracking skulls when necessary.)
(* BTW, along with proving a lot of “police brutality” claims were bogus, the other thing police wearing body cams did was reduce the amount of actual police brutality – the camera policies meant you were fired if you turned it off, and such. Some cops definitely straightened up their act. Of course, some of the ones who didn’t straighten up much? The teams that wear masks when they bust in your door. And y’all should know I’m certainly not an ACAB sort.)
