sarah palin matt lauer today interview

sarah palin matt lauer today interview

the ‘extremely naive’ matt lauer got his ears pinned back this morning over the letterman ‘jokes’ by saracuda. by the way, sarah palin was also tough on both politics and economics especially the new natural-gas pipeline accord she just brokered.

sarah palin and matt lauer, today interview

a smackdown with a smile, ease, and grace. no anger. no hostility. she was speaking for all women and girls, not just conservatives, giving a much needed lesson to the rabid left.

i don’t know of any person in the entire political spectrum who would not have buckled under the craven onslaught that has been directed at governor sarah palin and her family. i can’t think of anyone. she is amazing.

_____

update: 6/15/09 well it appears that cbs and the letterman show must have gotten quite a bit of pushback on his shameful behavior toward the palin family. he has apologized. i believe the protest outside his studios in nyc tomorrow though is still on. the protestors want him fired.

i support their efforts because i want this kind of abuse against the palins, conservative women, and conservatives in general, to stop. sometimes the consequences for abject bias and stupidity are painful.

Expecting additional ad hominem attacks on Palin in 5….. 4….. 3…… 2…….1…..

  • Ted, let’s hope not. She showed tremendous class in that interview, insisting that the Letterman flap isn’t really all about her family, but about young women everywhere.

    And she’s right.

She also showed that she learned alot from the campaign; this was a masterful handling of a major player in the MSM. Good for her.

  • Paul says:

All this interview did was show that Palin was better prepared. C’mon. She is still not ready for primetime. As far as not being angry, are you kidding? She was ready to bite out Lauer’s throat. Not to say I blame her though. He’s a pussy.

  • Rikki says:

Sarah Palin DOES NOT speak for me. She is an idiot bimbo who needs to stay up in Alaska with her sluty daughters. Why the Today Show gave this woman 1 second of airtime is beyond me.

  • JP says:

You think Sarah Palin did good this morning? Good God she was pathetic. Hostile. Quick to attack. Angry. But I like that because all of you on the right are so quick to crown her the GOP prom queen of 2012. Have at it. We welcome that.

  • Bob Finamore says:

Palin wouldn’t speak for you Rikki – your name is slut sounding – you are ignorant also – it’s spelled “slutty” Rikki – I’ll bet Palin’s 14 year old can spell slutty correctly – Lauer is a bafoon and a loser – just ask Meredith!

  • Walt says:

Congratulations Gov Palin! You were once again a lady, a professional and on target! America is not as fascinated with the TV smut featuring who’s my baby’s daddy as network TV wants us to think. We are tired of trash talk. The ugly chatter that may be acceptable on our coasts is NOT what the rest of the country wants to hear. I have all but banned network TV in my home. I am proud that I have worked hard to send my 4 children to private schools, I am willing to pay my fair share of taxes but I am not willing to sit and accept the nonsense that permeates our white house, our senate, our congress and our broadcasting system.
This is typical I start on one simple point and wind up venting. Many people I talk to have this same built up hostility thanks to what is happening to our great nation.
CHANGE…America is this what you really wanted?

  • Ted says:

    >>Kris, in New England said: Ted, let’s hope not.

As you can see, it was inevitable. Liberals wake up every afternoon to spew their hatred and anger towards anyone who can see through their lies and refuses to march in lock-step as they do. They’re immature. They’ll do it again tomorrow.

  • Morris says:

Sarah Palin is ridiculous and brought all of this upon herself by putting her kids forward during the campaign. You can’t unring bells. Get some humor Republicans. This is why the country hates you.

  • Jane says:

It is obvious that Sarah Palin is trying to rehabilitate herself after such a disasterous introduction during the campaign. I don’t think she’s ready yet.. if ever.

  • lisab says:

hey did you guys see michelle obama’s new look …

    what a slutty wookie …

(oh it was just a joke … that is not disrespectful at all)

  • Micky says:

    Morris;
“Sarah Palin is ridiculous and brought all of this upon herself by putting her kids forward during the campaign. You can’t unring bells. Get some humor Republicans. This is why the country hates you”

Morris, really, what do you think would of happened if she hadnt introduced her family to the country in the first few days of the campaign ? Most candidates do as a matter of fact travel with their families during campaigns only a means to show their constituents that they’re not so entrenched that they dont or cant relate to everyday Americans. Their saying “look, I have a family too, I understand your concerns and feelings”
Did Obama and Michelle not expose their kids just as much ?
Does that presentation automatically give the media the right to drag them thru the mud ? Would it not create more apprehension and unwarranted rumors if they kept their families in hiding ?
As far as us getting some humor goes. I seem to remember an awful lot of liberal feathers getting ruffled over just about any humor directed at them also. You guys dont like it when its pointed at you, we dont like it when its pointed at us, its no big secret.
But to act as if its only one side whos offended the easiest and say thats why the country hates you is just plain dumb. What We should do is leave family and kids alone

  • JBG says:

I would like to know where is National Association for Women is NOW at a time like this when women are again denigrated. Matt Lauer is just a continuation of the Obama love affair and one-sided media coverage of events. Of course, an organization like NBC (Matt Lauer) would try to explain away anything that happens that would show the truth about the Left! Look what happened to Don Imus when he called a women’s basketball team “a bunch of nappy-headed hoes”. The same thing should happen to Letterman. Just one last question…can we quit with the constant polarization? I for one am on a campaign to boycott all of the CBS sponsors until Letterman is gone and the mainstream news media becomes balanced. I am spreading the word.

  • JBG says:

BTW…there is a petition you can sign to fire David Letterman at

    http://www.thepetitionsite.com/petition/175005962

  • lisab says:

actually NOW came out against Letterman

  • Alexandra says:

To Bob Finamore, who found it necessary to slam a woman because her name is “Rikki” and she dared to say that Sarah Palin isn’t an intellectual giant. (AKA: How many colleges does it take to finally get a bachelor’s degree Sarah?) Since you found it appropriate to
counsel “Rikki” on how to spell “slutty,” let me enlighten you re: “bufoon.” It’s BUFFOON. What is that old saying about throwing stones?
