Saint John McCain Leaves Final Missive For The Masses

The late Senator John McCain left a final letter of farewell to be read after his death. Today, his longtime aide read the letter at the Arizona State Capital building. The letter was self-serving and full of digs at his archnemesis, President Donald J. Trump.

Former McCain Campaign Manager and Family Spokesman Rick Davis read the letter in Phoenix today. This letter must have been written quite some time ago. End stage glioblastoma is not a time to be dictating the thoughts on one’s life. If you haven’t read Deanna Fisher’s obituary for the Senator, it is here.

Of course, the Media Conglomerate, all of them, have turned into drooling disciples of the Senator. It was pretty bad before he died. It has reached a fevered pitch since his death. Here is the video of Rick Davis reading the Farewell Letter. Watch and then we’ll discuss.

If you wish to read the full text of the Senator’s final letter, you can read it here.

The third paragraph after the salutation is where John McCain begins his canonization into sainthood.

To be connected to America’s causes – liberty, equal justice, respect for the dignity of all people – brings happiness more sublime than life’s fleeting pleasures. Our identities and sense of worth are not circumscribed but enlarged by serving good causes bigger than ourselves.

“Respect and dignity for all people,” really? Then, why was it necessary to take a parting shot at Sarah Palin only months before the Senator died? From “NYMag.com:”

While he continues to defend Ms. Palin’s performance, Mr. McCain uses the documentary and the book to unburden himself about not selecting Mr. Lieberman, a Democrat-turned-independent, as his running mate.

He recalls that his advisers warned him that picking a vice-presidential candidate who caucused with Democrats and supported abortion rights would divide Republicans and doom his chances.

“It was sound advice that I could reason for myself,” he writes. “But my gut told me to ignore it and I wish I had.”

There was absolutely no need for this late hit. Some of us (points finger at self) only happily pushed the button for McCain because he chose Governor Palin. Had he chosen Lieberman (nice guy, but no) some of us (again points finger at self) might have not voted on the Presidential line in 2008.

Two paragraphs down there is this:

We weaken our greatness when we confuse our patriotism with tribal rivalries that have sown resentment and hatred and violence in all the corners of the globe. We weaken it when we hide behind walls, rather than tear them down, when we doubt the power of our ideals, rather than trust them to be the great force for change they have always been.

This sounds like a hit against Donald Trump and “Make America Great Again,” but remember what John McCain’s own campaign slogan was: “Country First.” And, “…hide behind walls, rather than tear them down…;” give me a break. This is nothing but another dig against President Trump. Well, I say, “Build the Wall,” and not for us to “hide behind,” but for us to secure our borders against those who do not wish us well.

I am not overly fond of the rest of this Farewell Letter. This smacks of not only going for Sainthood, but also of begging for love from the media conglomerate and those on the left (I know, same thing.) They are giving you lip service now, Senator. As I was writing this, Senate Majority Leader McConnell and Senate Minority Leader Schumer were singing your praises in the Well of the Senate.

There is talk in the media conglomerate and the Senate of renaming the “Russell Senate Office Building.” In the future, it may be called the “McCain Senate Office Building” or “McCain S.O.B.”

So much for Sainthood.

A globalist to the bitter end. All one needs to look at to prove walls work is what is happening in Europe right now. Hungary, Poland, Austria all vigorously control their borders and have safe stable governments. Germany, Italy, England, France are being colonized. As are we because of weak ineffectual politicians who are more concerned with creating new voters than the security of American citizens.

Prayers for his family and those who knew and cared about him.

But being dead doesn’t suddenly un-a**hole you. Like I’ve always said about him: I respect his service, but all that makes him is an a**hole who served honorably.

Pbj89: Songbird did not serve honorably. Gave away TS information on air packages, flights, other US missile information, and location of rescue craft. In order for his medical treatment. Remember, there were two Presidential Pardons Nixon issued to Songbird, one for Teason cooperating with the enemy. And the standard one issued too all POWs.

Seems like he had trouble identifying the enemy.

I voted for McCain in 2008 even though I thought he’d be a lousy President. But, lousy as I thought he’d be, the alternative was someone who would deliberately try to break the country.

Interesting that he has W. give a eulogy. I was in South Carolina in 2000. The primary between the two was nasty. W’s official campaign kept its fingerprints off it, but there were rumors that McCain was a Manchurian candidate, brainwashed during his POW years.

Trump at least insults you to your face.
