Once upon a time, not too long ago, in this particular galaxy, Congresscritter Ro Khanna (Dunce, CA) challenged planet of Mars lover and legendary thinker Elon Musk to a streamed/televised debate. Musk’s crime is being a trillionaire (Bless him). This is the 21st century version of calling someone out. Actually, Musk should call Khanna out. Khanna doesn’t have enough brains to burn gunpowder. Musk can have programmers grab a rocket in mid-air and place it down on a landing pad. Win for Musk.

Have you all heard about this yet? We turn to CNBC for the opening details on this duel:

Potential 2028 presidential hopeful Rep. Ro Khanna challenged newly minted trillionaire Elon Musk to a televised debate on the impact of cuts made during Musk’s time atop the Department of Government Efficiency initiative, following an ugly social media spat between the Silicon Valley congressman and tech titan.

“I challenge him to a debate … do it on CNN, do it on CNBC, do it at a university, he can pick the setting and let’s debate what happened at DOGE, let’s debate why I’m for a wealth tax,” Khanna said Monday in an interview with CNBC. “We can have a conversation of ideas if he believes in free speech and free expression about these issues.”

The challenge came in response to an intense exchange earlier Monday on the social media platform X — which Musk owns — where the trillionaire said Khanna should be sued or even jailed. The California congressman had previously said Musk needs to answer for potential deaths caused by DOGE’s shuttering of the U.S. Agency for International Development, which prompted Musk’s ire.

I cannot believe that Ro Khanna even said those words “let’s debate what happened at DOGE, let’s debate why I’m for a wealth tax,” Khanna said Monday in an interview with CNBC. “We can have a conversation of ideas if he believes in free speech and free expression about these issues.”

Dayam, Khanna really is NOT particularly smart. Musk so believes in free speech and free expression he paid about $44 billion for Twitter (renamed X). Musk became a trillionaire after the SpaceX IPO. By the way, I am a ginormous Musk fan, JSYK. Ro Khanna has a net worth of 27 million with 20 million of that coming from his wife. That 7 million Khanna saved from his $174,000 Congressional salary for the last nine years.

Podcast host Jennifer Welch agreed with Khanna’s remarks and accused Musk of harming vulnerable populations through spending cuts. “I love that we need to keep pushing the talking point that you just had that we don’t need to celebrate Elon Musk making other people millionaires. If you are the party of pro-life like you say you are, MAGA, he’s killing millions of the poorest people on the planet,” Welch said. “So I think that hypocrisy there is really stunning.”
