Nancy Reagan Has Died, And We Loved Her

The most indelible images of President Reagan’s funeral was his beloved wife Nancy’s loving goodbyes at the side of the coffin, both in Washington…

Her grief was so deep, so wrenching, and so profound, that it left little doubt as to the depth of her love for him.

And today, she has gone on to join him.

Nancy Reagan, the widow of President Ronald Reagan and passionately devoted keeper of his flame, died Sunday morning of congestive heart failure at 94, according to her spokesperson.

Reagan died at her home in Los Angeles. She’s set to be buried at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, next to her husband. Prior to the funeral, there will be an opportunity for members of the public to pay their respects at the Library, the spokesperson said. Details had not yet been announced Sunday afternoon.

Leave aside the politics and the criticisms today, and remember a woman who adored her husband.

And, like all wonderful love stories, he adored her right back.

She once described how they hated being apart from each other.

And now, they will never be parted again.

Rest in peace, Mrs. Reagan. You were deeply loved, and are with your love once more.
